I hadn’t heard of that but it makes sense that the moisturizer would dilute the residue so I’ll try that next time. Thanks:). @Shosh85
My skin is feeling particularily nice right now even after washing it off but that may be that it’s liking all the peel off masks lately. I’ve been quite lazy and sticking to sheet masks for the most part for last year or so. Lazy isn’t quite the word is it...time restricted is more like it.
@heartsmyface I definitely know what you mean about having a "time restriction!" I think that's why I usually try and avoid mix-it-yourself masks or multiple step masks – it just takes more time than just slapping on a sheet mask. They are kinda fun though, if you do have the time for it! 😄
Ugh I can’t seem to edit. Obviously I meant mixed
It’s kinda funny to me that there’s a ‘Go-Getter’ mask @sonnydee. Glad you were able to return those masks, and able to pick up something more useful! ETA: Wow I guess I read it wrong, Glow Getter not Go Getter 😄
@sonnydee Glad you could return your esfolio masks without any issue! Acrylics are always useful.
Sounds like you got some good results with the VS mask @sonnydee! Happy to hear you were able to return the esfolio mask - you found some great things for them! Nice score on the Soap & Glory set!! 🙂
sounds like a pretty good mask @sonnydee - I love when you can do other things while wearing the sheet mask!
@sonnydee Sounds like a decent mask! VS is like B&BW in that way – their masks get changed up every season! It kinda makes me not want to try them!
Im happy to see you were able to return your masks! Looks like you got some great things to replace them!! 🙌
They have kept the hydrogels-lavender,rose, tea i do have those & liked the serum, liked the results but its chunky. So, I'm hoping they improved them. The fit was good on this one so even if they replace their masks every season like shoes-i hope they kept the fit the same😍😁 @Shosh85
So last night I broke into the Consonant DHE mask. This was the mask that was included in my gratis box from Sephora. Since the letter G is a consonant and so is my mask... it fits!
I've never heard anything about this mask before yesterday and honestly have barely even heard of Consonant. I did just do a clay mask the night before so I wasn't really needing one... but I did need to use a new mask right away. As soon as I started to put this onto my masking brush I could smell it. At first I thought it was almost a sulfur smell, but not as strong, but then I started to think about Jaagermeister, or cough syrup. Its a very herbalish scent, but I wasn't mad at it, the more I smelled it, the more I liked it. This mask has a thinner consistency than other mud masks I've used and so I applied a thin layer. There was a bit of a minty, cooling feeling, and at one point I thought i could feel major tingles/pinpricks on my cheek, but it went away after about 30 seconds of me panicking that i was about to have an allergic reaction. I left the mask on for the recommended 30 mintues and it did dry down, but didn't feel tight. I washed off in the shower using only my hands. My skin felt nice after the mask, not tight, but not hydrated. My pores did look great. I didn't read any of the other reviews or write ups about this mask until after I'd used it to avoid having any preconceived notions. I'm going to try using this again next week, but I'm thinking that just like other mud type masks, I'll see more benefits in the summer months.
Has anyone else tried this mask? Thoughts?
Me too @lmaster I think my skin is just so dry and dehydrated right now that this isn't moisturizing enough for me. In the summer where I'm more combination it will likely be more beneficial.
@missjeanie @eshoe @itsfi and for anyone else interested - I have used a handcream by Consonant before that I purchased here on recommendation from my eye doctor (she’s constantly using anti-bac on her hands which makes them SUPER dry). She swore by the stuff so I picked it up. It’s great! And totally unscented for anyone who is sensitive to scents or needs to use a lot of moisturizer and doesn’t want an aggressive scent all the time (not sure about you guys but too much of any scent causes headaches)
I feel like I use hand cream mostly at work so scent free is a wonderful thing! @cianni thanks for the heads up!
Thank you very much for the tip on the hand cream, @cianni 😉
@cianni, good to know! I too can get headaches if there's too much fragrance - whether in one product or from a combination of products. An unscented, moisturizing hand cream is never a bad thing! Will put that on my list to look into as well. 🙂
@missjeanie I’ve heard of the brand but not this mask-it sounds very intriguing. I like herby, medicinal-type scents so it sounds very soothing. Wise of you not to look at reviews before trying it out, best to allow yourself the freedom to form your own opinion😉 Keep is posted on this one, definitely interested!
thanks for your thoughts @missjeanie ! I've never heard of this brand before
