Carmex did help with soothing my lips and the dryness, though to get rid of the hives completely I used abreva. It’s a cold sore medicine but it got rid of the hives. I Mixed the abreva with the carmex and did this once a day. This is what I did to get rid of the hives

Well- I've tried 4-5 mascaras. Mostly the classics that I used to lean on. I took a break from work and dressing up/ wearing make up. I guess I could be developing allergies for the first time. Thought I was too old... I'm in my early 40s and have never had them.

@lorrainewarren I would also suggest two-step face cleanse with an oil cleanser- target has some pretty good options, but last I checked Burt's Bees has both an oil cleanser and a hydrating rose toner you might want to check out. And while my suggestion for a water based cleanser is on the pricier side compared with the rest of your routine, I think it would be worth it. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Tea Tree Cleansing Gelis great for combo skin- gets my combo skin clean without overdrying, balances my oil production, and tea tree is also great for helping with breakouts and generally calming my skin. The natural beauty sections of some co-ops and grocery stores in my area also have some lower-priced tea tree cleansers (you could also probably do a search on amazon) but I can't speak to their efficacy/ compare. I think starting a two step cleanse and adding a hydrating toner would be good first steps, as they may solve the problem, but if not as many here mentioned you may want to add in a hydrating serum and/or look at your moisturizer. There are moisturizers that contain haluronic acid as well as moisturizing agents so I don't know that a serum is always necessary, though I do use one to supplement in the winter when I'm extra dry

I also have dry skin that’s fairly sensitive. I’ve been testing DRUNK ELEPHANT - Pekee Bar™ again as a 2-in-one product (cleanser and toner), since DE claims it rebalances skin pH. The Pekee Bar contains honey, an ingredient that usually dries the heck outta my skin, but so far I’ve had no bad reaction.  In addition to DE B-Hydra (which is a great suggestion), there’s also FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair® Hydrating Serum  which feels pretty lightweight on the skin. First Aid Beauty generally makes good products for sensitive skin. If I can ever get a deluxe sample of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Firm and Brighten Vitamin C Serum, I’ll try that one myself since I love 2 other YTTP products (the Superfoods moisturizer and face oil)—but I think that serum’s more geared toward brightening via vitamin C and firming via peptides, though it does contain hyaluronic acid for hydration. I played with a tester of that serum at a Sephora store; it felt very lightweight and absorbed quickly into the back of my hand. It’s definitely on my list of skincare items to try.

@SarahForsha Seconding what @greeneyedgirl107 and @WinglessOne said about the fragrance. The fragrant rose oil could also be a possible trigger. My favorite hydrating toner that's great for sensitive skin is Hada Labo's Hyaluronic Acid "lotion" toner! I apply it onto my damp face with my hands. It also matches the natural pH of your skin at around pH of 5.0 (your skin is happiest between pH 4.5-5.5).

@Sollie What ingredients are you sensitive to? Which FAB kit? Skin type? What type of products looking for? I'm hypersensitive, the few things of FAB I've tried weren't special or caused flare up - looking at you liquid recovery serum.. You should be wearing spf daily regardless of makeup. The sun can cause flares.I use Australian Gold Botanicals tinted face. No7 skin rescuing skin paste, moisturizes and helps treat red with usage, 2-3x week and leave on overnight. Niacinamide can help calm red as well. I have Revolution Beauty's serum. Edit, Revolution Beauty's skincare is called Revolution Skincare lol At Sephora THE ORDINARY - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

@ClaraNH Sensitive skin and rosacea here! My favorite formula is DR. JART+ - Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 but sadly it’s waaaaaaaay too pink on me. I was heartbroken when I went outside after trying it on to find that telltale demarcation line on my jaw! I’ve been using MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Perfector Skin Tint Foundation SPF 25recently, but the coverage is a touch lighter than many tinted moisturizers, so it might not be enough for you. My skin didn’t love the bareMinerals, but a lot of people rave about it so it might work well for you.

@laetitia1  I'm currently on a strong retinol that gives me super flaky sensitive skin and I lean towards Farmacy's and Drunk Elephant's products since theyre both gentle but effective. I would try D.E's Protini moisturizer and top it off with Farm.'s Honey Salve, the salve is for when you have any peeling, the moisturizer is a lovely texture that soaks in so nicely into the skin and has proteins to build strength. Murad also has a great nutrient charged water gel which is amazingly hydrating. Farmacy also has a night balm which is great. These are pricy but honestly so worth it,  but if you can't invest in these you can try to mimick the ingredients by getting facial oils like marula, argan, rosehip, jojoba, coconut, avocado, primrose and vit.e oils.

I never leave reviews but I created an account just to respond in this thread.  I used a sample of the good genes product - as directed overnight.  I’ve never had sensitive skin and am only allergic to cats, which one assumes aren’t in your skin care. I woke up the next morning with such a nasty chemical burn that my eyes were swollen shut, I spent the day in the ER and missed two full days of work. Five days later, even with prescriptions for steroids and antihistamines to get the swelling down, I am still bright red, itchy and bumpy (resembling cystic acne scars though I have never had issues with acne).  The doctor I saw shook his head at the product and ingredients saying use is mis directed given the potency.  I googled before using and only found positive reviews.  Now I google “Sunday Riley chemical burn”  and many have had the same reaction.  This product needs to be taken off the market before it seriously harms or disfigures someone.

I was having a similar problem and at first kept trying different cleansers and moisturizers, and nothing seemed to be working until I switched from a physical exfoliator (scrubs and pore strips) to a chemical exfoliator (AHA/BHA serum).  The product I ended up switching to is Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum.  I use it about 3 nights per week.  But now that I think about it, at the same time I started using the Indie Lee Co-Q10 Toner after cleansing, so maybe that was part of it too?  In my opinion these products are sorta pricey, but they work so I'm trilled because I was sick of all the flaky, red skin.

@bbynikki sensitivities vary person to person, what exact ingredients are you sensitive to? If you're not sure, keep a log of ingredients, product names, exact type of reaction to find similarities. An allergy test may be need as well. Patch tests and very slowly ease into usage will help too. Breaking out how? What was the last makeup you used? More descriptions will help.

Hi @godschild80  I've used all of these products at some point or another and even together at one time.  I would suggesting using the serum first in the morning, then your moisturizer followed by sunscreen.  Sunscreen should be the last step in your skincare routine. SUNDAY RILEY ASKED EMPLOYEES TO FAKE REVIEWS. I'm pissed I had a severe reaction and freaked out and went to the doctors. there reasoning is to balance out fake reviews. Hypocrisy at its finest 👌. @annabellesea Blackheads on the nose aren't blackheads. Sebaceous filaments, natural oil blockage that can only temporarily be removed. A cleanser that is drying will actually harm your skin, strips the skin of natural oils used to keep it balanced.  Pores are genetics. Cannot change size. Keep them clean to reduce their appearance. Use a clay mask on those areas, not daily. The more scrubbing, drying out the skin the worse the skin barrier will be, which is not good. You posted this in sensitive skin, do you have sensitivities or is the skin raw? since you seem to over do products to fix the issue "no matter how hard I try"
