I was using the Cover FX calming primer, which was great, but it appears to be discontinued. I’ve tried the water cloud primer, but it doesn’t work as well and seems drying. I previously tried the Too Faced hangover 3-in-1 and while my makeup looked flawless, it made my skin burn  Any suggestions for a good primer for sensitive skin, which is also gluten free? Even better if it’s hydrating. Thanks!

@josparkleUnidentified. For some reason, drunk elephant did not suit my skin, and I was sensitive to the product I used from the line. I might just be sensitive to the form and amount of vitamin C they use. Quick question-- what face "wash" are you using? Thanks!

@ArielleVariel Are you looking for cleanser, moisturizer, or both? You could probably benefit from some high quality oils. I love L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil, it’s gentle but effective and very hydrating. Check out Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil as well. Argan oil is a vitamin E fatty acid which is great for soothing and hydrating skin, especially dry or irritated skin.

Hi there, I use rose water for my sensitive skin, Mario Badescu has great one, KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner   is great, they also have a deep cleanser is awesome. I bought a little Fore silicone brush, Play Plus verision, and I cannot say enough about it. So gentle, but so thorough. may you should consider that if you are using lots of make-up.

@meeka1999 Maybe go without using it at all for two weeks and then try again with the reduced amount that you originally used and see if that still causes a reaction. I don't think you necessarily have to give up on it, but you might need to look for a less concentrated product (or mix in your current product with something else).

Hi @AnsleeNicole,   I highly recommend the Youth To The People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi. It is also part of the Clean at Sephora section on the site. I’m so impressed with the results, I’m passionate about the product. It is pricey but right now Sephora has the mini kits that contain the serum for a fraction of the price. It’s a much smaller bottle of serum but you get a wash and moisturizer too. I went that route cause it was like 35. I think I’m going to have to get the big bottle too though. It’s just works so well. A bit pricey but cheaper and less invasive than going the laser route

Omg same! For the last few year I thought it was my eczema acting up or another type of dermatitis. But now I think it’s rosacea. It almost looks splotchy or patchy sometimes. I would strongly recommend going to see a dermatologist first. I haven’t tried it but the ren anti redness serum looks promising, and either of the caudalie sorbet moisturizers are soothing and calming on redness.

You want a physical sunscreen you want to get one that a.) doesn’t clog your pores, b.) isn’t thick and white and disgusting and that you have to re apply. So a physical sunscreen contains TWO ingredients, titanium dioxide and zinc. Anything else is a chemical sunscreen and is currently getting banned from places like Hawaii because it’s breaking down coral reefs. So brands like “Supergoop” that are vegan and green, if you read the label, it’s still a chemical sunscreen. I have an amazing one from “drunk elephant” that I put on top of my skincare as a barrier between my makeup.

I'd recommend soothing irritation and dryness first; get comfortable and balanced skin before addressing sagging. I've had great success with the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair products, both the Tiger Grass Cream and the Color-Correcting Cream, which includes SPF to prevent further damage. A little goes a LONG way with these two products. (Mine have lasted over 6 months). Of course encourage your mom to stay hydrated with lots of water; great skin depends on that and plenty of healthy nutrition - fruits and vegetables. Make sure that any cleansers are emollient and gentle; gentle exfoliant (Kate Somerville) once a week (and no more!). Once the redness and discomfort subside, consult with a Beauty Expert to find an appropriate (gentle) anti-aging routine. I've had good success with L'Oreal Visionnaire. GOOD LUCK!DR.
