Disclaimer: skincare is super personal and what works for me may not work for you. Without knowing anything about your current skincare routine, I'm going to assume you're not using products that are causing the sensitivity and dryness.Use sunscreen all the time. Even if you're just sitting indoors. I primarily use physical sunscreens because certain chemical sunscreens break me out.Try a gentle chemical exfoliation serum at night (AHA and/or BHA) to encourage surface skin turnover. I recently got a sample of Tata Harper resurfacing serum and really liked it. Vitamin C works for a lot of people, but not so much for me. Start off every other day.Try using a facial oil after your serum. I like Drunk Elephant's Marula Oil. I also like 100% Argan Oil. These two oils and FAB Ultra Repair Cream is what I default to when my face freaks out due sensitivity and dryness.Keep your skin hydrated to help it heal.Important: if you have a Sephora near you, go there and ask for samples. Tell them you have sensitivity issues and need to test before you buy. They 100% of the time would rather do that than have you spend $90 on a product only to return it two weeks later because your skin freaked out.

@olived I'm using rx topicals, that are drying, and live in an arid, hot climate. Been using Dermalogica barrier repair, just use a tiny bit, and Clinique DD lotion. Both are very basic and won't interfere with the topical. My water based moisturizer isn't completely doing the job right now. CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+

For me drinking the recommended amount of water each day made a huge difference, as did changing to the SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oilbefore bed, and doing a GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatmenton problem areas once a week. Still get some cystic acne under my chin, but it is no longer the masses of painful bumps that I was having on a regular basis. Bonus, is a lot of general redness on my face evened out as well.

Thank you. My mom did do a make-up class about a month after starting chemo, but found it overwhelming. I wonder if now that she is on the other end, if that might work well. I'll have to feel it out, or maybe I'll have a little make-over party at Christmas. Everyone is coming to my house so I might be able to swing all the girls having a little make-up party and I can try helping my mom.

So I just found out about this community stuff. However, PLEASE BE ADVISED that the Sephora located in Mid-Rivers Mall is EXTREMELY Nasty! The Manager Stephanie used her bare hands to apply make-up to my face and as a result I contracted Impetigo on my face. It was brought to the store manager attention and was also on camera. It was also brought to Stephanie’s attention the only response I go from her was “ I don’t know what you’re talking about.” While applying makeup to my face with her bare hands she reassured me that it was safe and also that her hands were clean. I asked why didn’t she use the disposable applicators her excuse was they didn’t work as well as her hands. You can go in at your own risk and have the embarrassment of this ugly, nasty, painful rash, on your face as I did for weeks. The store manager eventually calls their insurance company and they wants to pay me $150 for pain and suffering and then tells me it wouldn’t hold up in court. I don’t know who or what court they have dealt with but it’s gonna hold up for in court because there is no proof. If it didn’t occur why did they feel the need to rearrange the whole store after the incident? Why did they need to start having customers put make up in disposable cups now? And why did they feel they had to delete evidence off the cameras they say the incident happened? The only person who apologized was the store manager and I really don’t feel like it was an sincere apology. I don’t want anyone to lose their job but, if you do wrong, wrong will definitely follow you.

I concur with others on this thread -- you are having an allergic reaction to the product and should stop using it immediately.  I was chemically injured at work three years ago and developed extremely sensitive skin.  Not a doctor but I anticipate you have contact dermatitis right now. In order for your face to heal, I highly recommend using products that are gentle and fragrance free.  In the short term to help your face heal that you use a gentle, fragrance free cleanser.  Some do ok with FAB, but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative you may want to try Cetaphil or Cerave.  Some do well with La Roche Toleriane line.  I also recommend that you use a fragrance free, gentle moisturizer.  I've used Aveeno baby cream as well as Eucerin baby cream - the reason for the "baby cream" is that it has fewer skin irritants than the "adult" versions of the products.  Cetaphil and CeraVe also have face lotions. Vanacream is a great skin barrier.  Using a skin barrier will help your skin heal and retain the moisture it needs.  You can use a lotion or cream under the barrier.   Hope this helps and you begin to feel better.

Hi @beautytackx! I really love a combination of the following products for my redness.  Sadly, there isn't a one-sized fits all answer for rosacea, so hopefully one of these (or a combination) works for you.I love the Ren line. I use it at night. This particular link is for a sample size set to see if it works for your skin. And I bought the oil about a week ago and it's just amazing. I put it on as the final skincare step before putting my primer on. I let it just sit there for a few moments before putting my primer on and I can noticeably see it work on my redness. It is expensive, but it looks like it is going to last for a long time.https://www.sephora.com/product/stop-being-so-sensitive-P437477?icid2=products%20grid437477roduct https://www.sephora.com/product/lapis-oil-balancing-facial-oil-P400203

@Marylou21 I feel you. I have very sensitive skin that changes all the time. I moved from a very humid area to a dry area and it has never been the same since. I also have bad cystic acne that is very stubborn. Lately my routine has been the Tatcha deep cleanse to wash my makeup off. I use the Tatcha water cream to moisturize and the Estée Lauder night eye cream to help fight wrinkles. When my skin gets extra dry I use the Drunk Elephant Lala retro cream and it gives that extra boost of moisture. For my acne I use some masks weekly to bi weekly just depends how busy I am but I’ve been loving the caudalie purifying mask for spot treatment on my acne and I put a dab and go to bed the next morning it’s dramatically smaller or gone. I also use it on my husband as well and I use the caudalie instant detox mask on my forehead nose cheeks and chin to help draw out some of the gunk that gets in my skin. The instant detox mask is super drying so if your going through a bad dry skin spell I would make sure you extra moisturize or wait till your not super dry. I’ve still used it when I was dry and just used the Lala retro and I was fine. I hope you find something that works for you!! Everyone’s skin is so different there’s no cookie cutter routine but I’m sure you will find what works for you!!

I recommend 100% argan oil (I like Josie Maran's) and/or Nilotica (100% shea butter, but lighter texture than other brands). Neither has adulterating substances (fragrance, preservatives etc); they absorb well, are super-hydrating, and in my experience calm the redness & itchiness that comes with facial eczema. Good luck :-)
