@Askmiller81 First Aid Beauty is supposed to be great for sensitive skin, try their Ultra Repair line for moisturizers. A gentle cleanser I love is L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil. It doesn’t strip my skin, and the shea keeps it nice and hydrated. You may also benefit from hemp/CBD products. Check out Origins Hello Calm. It’s soothing and hydrating.

So I’m looking for a good face mask for my combination skin, but my skin can’t handle anything! I can’t even handle stuff to treat aches or poison plants. I have never once  had a face mask that doesn’t result in a rash for a week. I need something that can do what nothing has done for me: make my skin BETTER and not WORSE!

I have the same issue. I went in a mission to find a decent high spf product without chemical screens this year to see if that was the problem. I tried a ton. Most were heavy or just icky feeling on my skin. Or they only had spf 30 or lower. Some of the high end physical sunscreens also broke me out (eg Murad). And many of them have an offensive smell. I am fairly pleased with Estée Lauder Perfectionist Pro Multi-Defense UV Fluid SPF 45 with 8 Anti-Oxidants. But, Sephora does not carry it.

@Dev789 I know I'm late to the party, but some products I've been using to do the same areISLE OF PARADISE - Self Tanning Dropsin the lightest shade mixed in with my regular body lotion, though admittedly it's less convenient than a gradual tanning lotion TAN-LUXE - THE GRADUAL Illuminating Gradual Tan Lotiongives faster results than the Jergens IMO/IME but there are downsides to this- like some streaking and my palms turning orange even with multiple washes, but it is super easy to even out if you have the time (like at least two days). It also smells waaaaay worse than the Jergens, like if you were drowning in Downy, and it's not as moisturizing. However, if you want more dramatic results faster it's the way to go of the two The ST. TROPEZ TANNING ESSENTIALS - Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mistcame in my allure box and it was surprisingly good. It gives a super subtle effect, like I'm pretty pale so I'm just going for "don't want to be mistaken for a vampire at the grocery store" color and not "Snooki 2007" color. It freaked me out to try something on my face without knowing how it would go, but it can be layered, it goes on super evenly, and the color is pretty subtle. Like it takes at leas 5 sprays on my face/neck to make a noticeable difference. I have bought it since

@sania116 when I get those tiny white bumps I find the culprit is cornstarch. If you use makeup products check ingredients. Then try taking away products with a common ingredient. When I did that then brought back a product with the cornstarch the bumps returned. So I knew I had to pitch/recycle all my products that contained. That was hard too. I'm on the hunt for more foundations and setting powders, but at least the bumps are now at bay. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone! I have been recently discovering that I am allergic to soaps that have perfume in them. Even with shampoo & conditioner, when the residue of the soap is being washed off, I end up breaking out in hives on my chest and back. Are there any recommendations for a good shampoo and body wash? @EPaden   Those chicken bumps can get uncomfortable when they get super dry.  My son's arms has this and the bumps get red during winter. We use the Dermadoctor KP Duty Body Scrub, which has physical and chemical exfoliants.  Our doctor told us the condition is a result of the skin not being able to get rid of the older, dead skin fast enough before the new skin forms.Following that, we use the Dermadoctor KP Duty Lotion. If you need a little extra moisture, this is a good cream:  https://www.sephora.com/product/eczema-extra-strength-body-cream-P442846?icid2=products%20grid442846roduct https://www.sephora.com/product/kp-duty-lotion-P73509?icid2=products%20grid73509roduct https://www.sephora.com/product/kp-duty-body-scrub-P147925?icid2=products%20grid147925roduct

Acids like vitamin C are best for dark spots and brightening the skin. However, since you have sensitive skin (I'm assuming) look for gentler acids like lactic acid (think Sunday Riley Good Genes) or malic acid (from apples, Juice Beauty has a line using it I think) or PHAs (polyhydroxy acids) PHAs are the gentlest out of three and out I'd recommend the most. From what I remember COSRX has a moisturizer with PHAs as the main ingredient (COSRX is at ULTA, Urban Outfitters and online on Sokoglam).

From Sephora, I'd recommend Caudalie, the Indigo skin care line from Tatcha, and the Ceramidin & Tiger Grass skin care lines from Dr. Jart+ However, if your friend is looking for something a little cheaper, I highly recommend La Roche Posay, a French pharmacy/dermatologist brand found at CVS or Walgreens. It caters to all types of sensitive skin, from oily to combo to eczema-prone.

@sammyras You need to resolve the hard water issue first, hard water wrecks havoc on your skin/hair. Go to your local Home Depot or Lowe’s or even Amazon and pick up a Sprite shower head filter - it’s easy to install and removes water impurities. To get the deposit off your skin, lightly exfoliate. To get them off your hair, pick up UnDoGoo by Malibu. It has a PH of 9.5 and you will immediately notice a difference in your hair.

Hi, I have Papulopustular rosacea as well and lately I have been using Bioderma Make-up removing micelle solution to take off my makeup. I pour a little bit on a cotton pad and gently wipe and this seems to really help my flareups. Before I was using makeup wipes to take it all off (like Neutrogena) but I read that as convenient as pre-moistened makeup wipes are, they are very irritating to rosacea. This has really helped. For moisturizer I have been using an all natural Rosehip oil right after I wash my face. I apply it in a circular motion while my skin is still damp. This has also really helped calm down my skin! Also, wear SPF EVERY day. I use the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Tinted Ulrtra-Fluid Lotion (SPF 50) and its amazing; gives a super light, sheer coverage. Hope this helped a bit. I'm still trying to figure this all out too!

I don’t think one method is better than the other. Just depends on what you like best.  At the sink, I use soaking wet Makeup Eraser towels to rinse off all cleansers. I guess that’s kind of a hybrid of rinse and wipe. 🙂 I splash less water outside the sink that way. And since I stopped using my microfiber cloths as intended (I never felt they truly removed enough makeup on their own), this is how I’ve repurposed them. Their thick plush pile is much softer and gentler than a terry cloth washcloth, so they’re perfect (for me) as cleanser rinse aids.

Sounds like a broken skin barrier! there could be several reasons why it happened. Your cleansers and toners PH levels, acids from you products, even just the manner you wipe and swipe your skin with cotton or any exfoliating tools, your immune system (allergies, common cold or flu) and hormones could also be a factor. I'm also battling redness!!! (trust me) Anyways, my suggestions are to basically go back to basic skin care and let your skin barrier heal. 1. Reduce cleansing to as simple as possible. (what I did, was i just rinsed with luke warm water in the morning, and then used a Milk cleanser at night) 2. Put away your Actives for now.. (AHA/BHA, retinol if you do.. ) 3. Hydrate your skin with skin barrier ingredients (Ceramides, Triglycerides, fatty acids) I would look for: Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides... 4. Protect your skin.. if you can stay st home for now, just stay indoors and away from the sun. if you are going out use Sunscreens. however sunscreens could also be irritating to your skin.. I would use a Mineral sunscreen instead of a Chemical sunscreen. just let me know if you want some product recommendations.. ^_^ good luck!

@snikerz I'm going to assume that you're referring to more of a skin texture issue rather than tiny pustules in terms of my response. If your skin is dry and sensitive then a lot of products might (potentially) cause some issues for you. Therefore, my top suggestion would be to try using rosehip oil on your face at night - Trilogy make a nice one that I use myself, but there are quite a few companies that offer something similar (The Ordinary for example). If you have no reaction to using the rosehip oil, then it is a good starting point to building up to using a product with a higher strength of retinol. This will help with skin cell turnover  If you don't already use some sort of moisturizing toner or essence, I would suggest incorporating something like that into your skin care routine as well. The Ordinary also have a very budget friendly Hyaluronic acid formulation that you could try out.

Hi there! Your skin and routine sound like mine. Maybe we’re allergic to soy/ cucumber stuff? Too much exfoliation breaking barrier? I too don’t cleanse in am and think that’s a good step. Also I use witch hazel in spray bottle for pm toner ( California tap is wak) and think these are good mild moves. Good luck getting some calming relief. All this sensitive skin is so annoying .

I recently purchased the little minis and wanted to try everything from the DE line due to the hype.  I was using it every morning and at night I was using La Mer.  DE made my face completely dry/tight and it was irritated.  I started to get redness and itchiness (especially on my eye lids).  Unfortunately, it did not work for me and I had to return all of the products.
