Herbivore bakuchiol dupe??

Well this is my holy grail serum, and it has been discontinued by herbivore. I had a bad experience prior to using this that caused me to get sun poisoning and took a month to clear up the rash on my face: I am looking for something extremely similar that won’t cause sun sensitivity. I’d like to have my retinol alternative in serum form. Looking for something that’s anti aging and smoothing. TIA!!

I feel your pain, @btrainor. It was sudden and I had already dippped into my backup when I found out 😭. Now I am on a mission to find a replacement, because my skin does not respond favorably to retinol.

Like @Brutalitops, I also use the ALPYN BEAUTY - PlantGenius® Melt Moisturizer with Bakuchiol in addition to the ALPYN Hydrating Sleeping Mask with Melatonin & Wild Dandelion 2.0 oz/ 59 mL

As far as serums, I am just beginning my adventure to discover a comparable product. I just started using Mahalo’s Phyto-Retinoic Restoring Night Serum, but it’s too early to have an opinion. I am waiting on a DS of the Biossance Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL . Burt’s Bees has a Renewal Intensive Firming serum I plan to try, Bakuchiol is the sixth ingredient. 

Sadly, I am not overly optimistic-the Herbivore was  perfect. But-who knows? Maybe the Mahalo will be the answer🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe the Biossance. I’m willing to give them a try! Would love to hear what you have tried/plan to try, as well.

eta: Another option is The INKEY List Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer 1 oz/ 30 mL , it’s thin enough to pass for a serum in my opinion.

@btrainor  FWIW, I have been using ALPYN BEAUTY - PlantGenius® Melt Moisturizer with Bakuchiol and really loving it, though I see it's not your preferred method. Biossance Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL is another baukichol serum

ETA ooh I see you are enjoying the Alpyn! I’ve been using that as well, not often enough though to notice a difference.

@eshoeI just have like like 3 sample sizes from the ALPYN promo code, it still works so I'm planning to keep using it every time I place an order so I get a feel for how I like it over the long haul. I honestly cannot get enough of that piney scent though 😍 I'll look into the Mahalo though, and I'll look out for any updates from you!
