Does anybody suffer from sodium hyaluronate or hyaluronic acid sensitivity?

Re: Does anybody suffer from sodium hyaluronate or hyaluronic acid sensitivity?

@Anonymous I had a reaction when I first started using a hyaluronic acid serum. I also could not find any information about possible adverse reactions. My moisturizer also contains HA but does not bother me. After taking a break for my skin to recover, I reintroduced the serum and reduced the amount that I was using by half and have not had an issue since. If you’re finding that you’re having issues with the concentrations of HA in your products I might suggest switching to something that doesn’t contain the ingredient and giving your skin a break. Hope you find something that works for you! 🙂

Re: Does anybody suffer from sodium hyaluronate or hyaluronic acid sensitivity?

@Anonymous - I don't personally have a sensitivity to it, but there are absolutely people who are sensitive to it. HA tends to appear in many products so you'll have to be careful about what you put on your face, but there are definitely ones that don't contain it. The Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer and La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra are good options.
