Chicken Bumps

What the best product(s) for treating chicken bumps that are red and itchy?

Re: Chicken Bumps

@Anonymous   Those chicken bumps can get uncomfortable when they get super dry.  My son's arms has this and the bumps get red during winter.

We use the Dermadoctor KP Duty Body Scrub, which has physical and chemical exfoliants.  Our doctor told us the condition is a result of the skin not being able to get rid of the older, dead skin fast enough before the new skin forms.

Following that, we use the Dermadoctor KP Duty Lotion.

If you need a little extra moisture, this is a good cream:  https://www.sephora.com/product/eczema-extra-strength-body-cream-P442846?icid2=products%20grid:p442846:product

Re: Chicken Bumps

If you mean Keratosis pilaris, also known as "chicken skin", and is basically uber dry skin, then use a lotion with AHAs or BHAs in. For the body Eucerin's Roughness Relief Lotion or AmLactin, for the face, there's plenty out there so just read for the ingredients.

If you mean hives, which are small, red, itchy bumps or plaques, please seek a physician as you are likely suffering from an allergic reaction.

Chicken Bumps

Do you mean from chicken pox or the "chicken skin" bumps? Usually the bumps with chicken skin don't itch.
