Why is Sephora posting out of stock items?

Why is Sephora providing junk search results with many products out of stock? It’s super annoying and wasting my time. Is there a way to filter out the items they don’t actually have to sell when I’m looking at products??

Sometimes things are available for order online pick up in store and or same day delivery in some markets, @babyjay1231, so they still appear on the site. Sorry, there doesn't seem to be a way to filter at this time (only to search for stuff that has the pick up option).

That’s not really applicable to what I’m talking about.  None of these items are available online or in store anywhere within 1,000,000 mile radius of me.

This drives me crazy too - terrible user experience which is actually quite easy to program, if they aren’t coming back remove them and if they are put the oos message.

I have things on my loved list I’ve been waiting to come back into stock since 20 Jan 2022 so I’m pretty sure they won’t be restocked at this point but I’m interested to see how long they stay there before Sephora takes any action at all. 

the most disgusting thing is when they pad out the sales pages and you think the item is available but every single shade is gone, and or it’s a limited edition. I used to waste so much time clicking and looking and then waiting for email notifications now if I want it l check elsewhere as they’ve inevitably got an offer on it if it’s on Sephoras sales page
