Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

I agree. I don’t want Nars and that they are deluxe samples is less appealing.  I do like the bath gift.

I made the $20 purchase but had to do another $5 to get free shipping.  I had to choose between the $3.50 off coupon and the Nars gwp and I chose the $3.50 off coupon. 🤣

The bath gift was the only thing I liked. @itscarin Weird thing happened when I tried to apply the $3.50 off coupon. I had to buy over $35 to trigger the free shipping. I've not noticed this before now that I am only Platinum. So I didn't buy anything. I don't like it but at least I'm saving money 🙂

not thrilled w/the diamond perk (if they were different items than the usual ones they always have, like the multiple, or lip balm, it would be nicer) but otherwise, I'm pleased. I was going to get the $20 set for briogeo, but then saw the ones w/the cute bags, and thought might as well spend $5 more to get a cute bag. 🤗 better than spending $125 for the ulta bags. 😒🤣 I also thought the ahava was $42, pleased to find out it was w/any ahava purchase, so I went w/the cheapest one, of course. 😅

heres my order, plus the living proof gwp, that I remembered to add after I upgraded to the pink bag. 😅 also got a gc from the gc shop @ rakuten, for 6%, so it was 9% CB total. 🤗

Cashback today: 5% MrRebates / 4% TopCashback / 3% Rakuten

Out of cashback sites, which in your experience has recently been the most sure bet when a gift card is redeemed and a unique coupon code used (such as a Diamond code)? What about point redemption?

I've used all 3. None have given me trouble on unique coupons with Ulta. None glitch on points anymore, at least not reliably. Rakuten used to, but they've gotten better about catching it later and clawing back the extra...they knocked my last one down from $20ish originally to 32 cents after the fact 😥

Redeeming a gc is just a form of payment and should never affect CB. GC is the only way I pay with Ulta, and I've never been denied from any of the three for that. 

RMN is another good one (when they have CB, at least...they don't seem to offer it all the time, none right now).

@RGbrown Hope you made a nice haul (or two) today! Back to our earlier conversation, I heard back from MrRebates about my missing cashback claim and thought I’d share the info.

“It appears you used a coupon that was not shown on Mr. Rebates. In this case, the 20% discount you used was similar to the one on our site, but the ones on our site do not include premium brands such as Hourglass. Usually, coupons that apply to premium brands are exclusive offers the store is providing its loyalty program members.

Ulta recently let us know that any offer exclusive to its loyalty program members -- including not just coupons but automatic price discounts -- will negate cash back. I have credited this purchase to your account. However, in the future please make sure any discount you receive is listed on Mr. Rebates, or the transaction will not generate a rebate.”

Looks like TopCashback and MrRebates has randomly untracked some of my recent orders that had gift cards or unique codes used… And Rakuten has specifically stated “no cash back from Ulta” the last Perk Day. Perhaps I need to do my due diligence and submit missing cash back requests. (Sighs)

Weird. I used Rakuten last Perk Day and got my CB just fine, and I checked some of my older TCB and MrR stuff and see no issues, nothing clawed back or gone.

It might not be a bad idea to clear your Ulta cookies, and TCB/MrR/Rakuten as well, if you haven't lately, or don't use incognito regularly. Sometimes they pile up so thickly that channels get confused, which can mess with the tracking.

@RGbrown Thank you for checking. Submitted a few missing cashback requests, we’ll see what shakes down. So in your experience, all of the cashback sites I listed above should not have issues with Diamond codes, even though those are unique and “unlisted”?

As far as submitting missing reports, eh, that's a total crapshoot...you might get some approved, others not. But I've never had to file a missing report on a Diamond q transaction...all of mine have tracked and been credited properly in the first place. Looking back through all of 2021, I used either RMN, Rakuten, or MrR on Perk Day...TCB never seemed to line up with the best rate for me those days.

ETA: do you have any of the CB sites installed as an extension? If so, that could be a part of the problem.

@RGbrown Thank you for kindly comparing notes. No browser extension and I shop mostly on mobile devices. I think I’ll go with MrRebates then. Unless I decide to use points, in which case perhaps Rakuten. Thinking of picking up a Drybar tool in the afternoon. If it sells out - oh well, cashback dilemma solved! 😂
