Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

I’m finding myself curious about the new e.l.f. lip oils as some people swear they are Dior lip oil dupes. Anybody tried them? Does e.l.f. ever go on a brand sale at Ulta (Cyber Monday, Perk Day etc.) or is 20% off coupon the highest discount one can get?

@civ2ruAre you my bff from HS because she literally asked me this question a couple of weeks ago.  I bought the Dior Lip oil in mahogany after my high school aged cousin-in-law (is that a thing?) mentioned it was all over tik tok and she wanted to get it.  I unfortunately wasn't able to get it for her while she was here, but I bought her the lip balm version in the same color.  

Anyway, bought the Dior lip oil... and I really don't get what the big deal is.  How is this trending on tiktok?  It's the faintest hint of color, and it's ok moisturizing wise but nothing standout?  IDK.  I'm just old I guess. 

All this to say, the lip oils are great but not amazing.  I'd rather have the fresh lip balms but I'm not cool, so take my review with a grain of salt.  😄

Most trends on TikTok are lies. They wear lip liner, lipstick before they put stuff on and use different filters and lighting to make stuff look like it has better color payoff than it actually does. I've tried them all cept for ELF. The milani lip oils are better than Dior with actual pigment that does not irritate my lips. However, the dior lip balm and gloss in mahogany is bomb.

I havent tried it but Ive heard ppl say the famous blush is overpriced and overrated, so I figured that would be too and I wouldnt spend that much anyway.

But my favorite lip oil is Merits!! I got it in a Sephora faves box and used sparingly since I didnt wanna spend $24 to buy another one. Lol. wish Id used it more cuz after a couple years it started to smell rancid. but im still usimg it cuz I love it. all the other lip oils Ive tried bleed (clinique) or are drying or smell bad (ilia). The merit is perfect and so flattering.

@civ2ru, my recollection is that e.l.f. has a Black Friday sale, but I don’t remember if there’s a % off the entire site or if select products are marked down. 

ETA: I went into their site and there’s a note that they will have their BF sale on November 20 this year. There’s a sign up for notifications.

The mysteries seem to be gone completely now...I'm guessing they shouldn't have been up to begin with; it felt weird to have $50 and $75 gwps load at the same time without having them marked as a stepup or otherwise feeling like they belonged together. I'm guessing they'll be back another day though!

I’m confused - I placed an order and on the checkout page it said I’d get 469 points, which seems right. But now my order has shipped I was awarded 176 points. Has this happened to anyone and is it worth a call to CS?

It's happened to me before and I had to have screenshots and bring it up via email chat and telephone chat several times before someone finally agreed to give me the points.  I remember they said "oh the item you bought wasn't part of the 5x promotion" but thanks to some of the wonderful folks here I had screenshots of the item being in the list of items eligible for 5x. 

Sometimes the CS agents are willfully ignorant so you'll really have to spell out every little detail for them.
