Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

I don’t know, but I do know that the last two years, 10x points only applied to a limited number of items. It was disappointing.

Yeah there were a couple things I held off buying during the 20% sale right before because they'd been included in Platinum Appreciation the previous year and then they weren't in 2017. I won't make the same mistake this year.

@Danzie89 I think there was some mention about this on the thread a few weeks ago...you can page through if you want.  I remember reading it would be 5x on the thread, but I could be sorely mistaken - it  may very well be 10x like you said.  If that's the case, then I will definitely be buying some stuff!  I just stocked up with the 5x multiplier and now I feel like a fool if I mis-remember about the Platinum day in August!

Thanks to the 5x multiplier on all purchases combined with 5x Clinique, I am back up to 2,000 points. Hopefully there will be a 20% coupon or Platinum GWP bag soon. I get anxious and want to spend the points just because I know they’re there.

Unfortunately, beauty breaks don't have a date in the description when Ulta puts them up, so we don't know if this is the one for Wednesday or if it's slated for another date. The Clinique one should happen soon...we just don't know exactly when 🙃

Sadly, it's not just the app (I don't have the Sephora app, nor do I want it)...it happens for me on the mobile site/Android/chrome. Doesn't happen on the full site/windows/chrome though.

If I tag at the very end of my post and make no further punctuation or spaces or any other typing, it doesn't appear... but by the time I finish typing up a post, I usually forget to go back and put my tag in, and if I'm tagging more than one person, it'll be on all but the last one anyways. I also can't delete it...it just keeps coming back...so there's not much of a way around it that I know of. 

It has been reported in the feedback thread, but there hasn't been a response or even an acknowledgement of the problem that I'm aware of.

Ulta's Mac gwp is up. Choose one of eight discontinued lipsticks with any $25 Mac purchase .  I'm excited for "epic" because I can barely find swatches of it online. 😀😀😀

No new multipliers or brands, but still a few things of note to mention!

LOTS of brand-specific lip gwps for National Lipstick Day (I can't believe this is such a widespread thing lol) and there's also an Ulta matte lip cream with any $25 lip purchase. Check both the Sale and Gifts gwp pages...not all items are on both pages, as usual.

ABH Norvina is up!

The sale page hasn't updated quite yet, but I stumbled on Lipstick Queen (looks like the entire brand!) being 30% off (plus a 4pc gwp at $30). Tempting!

EDIT:

The sale page has updated, and holy smokes, practically every lipstick Ulta sells is on sale (ok, maybe not quite all of them, but still...many are). Be sure to check it out!

In addition, here are the BOGO deals (listed on the Buy More Save More page; check that page for links to each deal for the included items because it's not necessarily everything for each brand. For example, I was disappointed to see Lancome is only the Matte Shakers ☹️). All of these BOGO deals end today!
