Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

I don't think you need to return a gwp if you return the item it came with. According to the ulta website you don't need to.

I don't believe you ever have to return the free gift. I've never had a problem personally.

Some cryptic entries on the gifts/gwp may give some clues to upcoming beauty breaks

Based on last week's flash sale having wk28 in the link ulta texted, it looks like we'll have a Becca beauty break sometime the week of September 3 (Labor Day week; I assume Wed, but really any day is possible especially during a holiday week). 

Wk35 would be the week of September 24, and there are three separate entries (they are labeled 1, 2, and 3 if you go into each one, so they all seem to be different for now). I don't know if it will be one break with a choice of 3 or if there will be three separate beauty breaks that week?

I've never seen anything like this on Ulta's site before...dunno what it means exactly other than someone screwed up and made them public for now lol. There are no pics or descriptions yet, and things are certainly subject to change between now and then, but maybe it's a real glimpse into upcoming beauty breaks!

I just googled "ulta beauty break wednesday august 16 2017" and the first thing that came up is this and it let me add it to my cart although it wasn't free yet it came up in the cart at $50. So maybe??

I thought this was an interesting approach (seriously, Google can answer anything...can't believe I've never thought to try it before lol), but looking through Google images, I found that set in a blog post from Dec 2014. Not sure I'd get my hopes up on that one this week (though it could certainly show up as a repeat). ☺️

After @PrettyPaint corrected me on the MLP/Pur collection last week, I started poking around Pur's IG account and saw all sorts of conflicting info about what items will be in which stores when...so I sent them an email asking for correct info. I just got a response today, and I have to say it's a bit disappointing. Someone at Pur knows, but it's another example of a complete lack of communication within a large company. 😢

I ended up just having to order the products through PUR. Use coupon code REV20 to still get 20% off plus free shipping over $35. It is annoying that I couldn't get the points for my Ulta account but I eventually got so fed up with all the conflicting info that I just gave up haha.

Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed with the whole thing myself. I know makeup releases always seem to go screwy in one way or another, but this is one that I was super interested in, so it got under my skin a bit more than most. I snagged the palette from ulta, but I've almost managed to talk myself out of ordering the brushes from PUR even though I lurve them. I do keep checking their site...I know the second I see them OOS I'll be quite sad but for now I'm able to pass lol.

@RGbrown Ugh. That's annoying! From that response, it sounds like they don't know what's going on. I remember reading a specific release date at ulta for the palette, though, so if I don't know where that came from!

That's actually what prompted me to ask them directly...as I scrolled through their IG posts, I saw several *different* release dates for ulta (and Kohl's too)...anywhere from the 19th as I had posted earlier all the way to the 27th. And some posts said "the collection" would be in stores, but some said just "the palette".

I've made my peace at missing out on the brushes if they don't show up at ulta...I'm just a bit sad about that, and I'm a bit turned off by the whole "we don't know what we're doing with our own products" lack of communication. 😢

I hate to prognosticate, but...

I'm gonna guess we'll still have a Wed beauty break; normally Mon or Fri ones are just extra, and Wed still happens. The release of Naked Heat messed us up twice recently where we didn't have Wed breaks at all, and I am a bit gun-shy because of that...but the "substitute" breaks that we got those weeks came on Tues and Thurs, so I'm hoping that a Monday break today doesn't mean there won't be one on Wed.

But it's only a guess...kind of a "fingers crossed but don't hold your breath" situation lol

@RGbrownhahaha the 20% will never be wasted! I usually will give it away if I dont make a purchase. Also, I don't think i've combined the 20% with 2000 point redemption yet, so I will have to try that next time when I build up enough.

I had used my points in smaller 1000 increments to test a "hack" that was posted a few months back (which ulta has since fixed ) If you redeem just under your cart total, with the bonus multipliers, you would still receive a portion of the bonus points. So the "net" of points you would redeem for 1000 points ended up being only like...600 something. This is paranoia, but Im pretty sure someone from ulta reads this board, because after it was talked about, the hack was fixed a couple weeks after...lol

I'll definitely be using mine...I went a bit nuts lately too and have way too many points; the 20% is just about the only time I use em...best bang for the buck and all. Then I'll build back up if there's anything worthwhile with the 10x lol

it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if i don't buy anything with the 20% coupon, cause isn't there a 10x bonus day coming, right? lol
