Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

@civ2ru  My last orders were placed on the 12th and 13th (my 10x pts orders), but I don’t remember if the latest site updates were live by then. Those orders were placed via Chrome in desktop ID mode on my iPad. 

The site redesign started months ago; looks like Ulta’s been doing a few iterative launches to deliver parts of the redesign. I’ve made several orders since the redesign started, via Chrome on my laptop.

Ulta took the site down completely in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday the 15th...I know it was down from midnight central until at least 2:30 am, unsure when it finally came back up, but that seems to be ground zero for a host of recent issues 🙄

I tried an order on Tuesday, but was unsuccessful...not sure how much that helps but, but it was via desktop, chrome browser. I had a $75 cart and the 20% coupon (net $60 + tax) and several gwps. Some folks on Reddit seemed to notice that visa orders weren't going through but if they used a MC, it was fine, so I used my Ulta MC...and no dice, it wouldn't process. The error message said something was OOS, but my cart didn't remove anything like it normally does when that's the case, nor did any item display OOS on the item page (I even checked them all one by one incognito, just in case cookies were holding old info or something, if that's even possible). 

I wasn't about to randomly start removing items and trying to check out, the cart lost all appeal if I had to lose a gwp or rework my purchases, and I certainly wasn't up for the headache of multiple pending charges if these failed transactions were somehow generating approvals anyway, so I walked away after my one attempt. 

I can't believe Ulta hasn't gotten things back to better yet...they've got to be bleeding money at this point.

@WinglessOne I should have clarified: any successful online orders since the most recent stage of the redesign, in the last 1-2 weeks or so, after the site and app were down for a while? Anybody had any luck?

I was able to place 2 orders on 8/20, both through the app. The first appeared to have no issues, though later when I saw the order conformation email, I noticed I was charged $75 for the free gwp, a charge that wasn’t present during checkout. I called cs but she said the system had already caught the error and removed the charge. The second order was placed later in the day and had multiple issues. Every item in my cart, including several gwps, would randomly revert to oos, but when I’d visit the item pages, it’d show as in stock. Also, all the items in my cart would suddenly disappear and my cart would be empty so I had to re-add everything several times. I must have closed and restarted the app about 25 times. When I finally got my cart to load correctly with all items showing in stock, I quickly checked out. It was a frustrating experience to say the least.

Random question: are NARS products ever included in Ulta’s BF or CM “entire brand” sales? @RGbrown do you recall? Or is a good coupon as good a deal as it gets?

Hmmmmm, I haven't tracked NARS in a while, so I'm really not sure. My gut says maybe select items, but not the entire brand? (My gut is frequently wrong, unfortch, so take that with a grain of salt lol) I do know NARS does some ok sales on their site, mostly for discontinued stuff, but it might be worth watching there for a bit too, and see what pops up for BF/CM.

@RGbrown Thank you. I got hooked on NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder from a GWP sample. Based on a quick MUAontheCheap search, looks like the most they do direct is an occasional 20% off, with deeper discount only on discontinued stuff. Couldn’t find a comprehensive recent Ulta CM list to check brand against. So I think if I can get at least 20% off with a prestige coupon – or pay with points – I’m probably good.

I am pissed. The Prada playing cards of course were missing from my order yet I got the two parfums and now the gift is out of stock. My sample bag had the white tape tie around it but somebody musta stolen it out of the bag because why would they have any without? I thought it was an interesting gift and now somebody prob gonna be re-selling them. 😡
