Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

@RGbrown The Jumbo Love is super pitiful... the only thing I genuinely like/use off of it is the Curlsmith Conditioning wash but I already have 2 jumbo back-ups and I already water down this conditioning wash in a separate bottle. Hard pass this time.

I used the second one. Thank you!!!
I used the first one. Thanks so much!
Yay! You’re welcome, enjoy.
This is a random question but I’m hoping you all might know.
does Ulta still do the 20% off coupon that includes Dyson?
I purchased a hair dryer with the hair tools points multiplier but was hoping to get an Air Wrap if it ever comes back in stock lol
Ulta hasn't done a single Dyson q this year, unfortunately. Not really sure what's going on with that, or if they'll make a comeback next year.
The generic Prestige Q's have officially been extended through today 👍
Guys and Dolls! This $10 off $40 and $20 off $100 at ULTA (including prestige) that was supposed to expire 12/19 still works! Used both in store today (was able to get it pulled up on my app). They also work on online orders!
$10 off $40 Code: CHEER10
$20 off $100 Code: JOY20
*Side note*: The cashier at ULTA tried to tell me that this was a "one time use" code in an effort to get me to stop using it twice (despite it scanning). This is NOT true. This is a multi-use coupon that is still somehow working after it expired (I used it at least 5-6 times in the last week and actually used it 3x at my other Ulta just a few days back with no issues). If you want to avoid this possibility totally use the code online, if you run into this issue be kind and explain that it is a multi-use coupon. If you still get trouble, ask for a manager and they should be able to help you. The business is glad you're spending money even if you're getting the items at a discount, sometimes cashiers take personal offense to you getting a good deal and that's something most in this thread have come across at least once.

$10 and $20 codes from ULTA work with and stack on Holiday Beauty Deals. Got this YSl Black Opium Neon to try out for more than 50% off without including taxes (as well as a nice multiplier of 5x the points for fragrances). It was sold out online but I saw it was available in store so it’s worth a check over for the holiday deals that are now sold out online inside your local ULTA.
@treestar86 I like it. I'm definitely not fully in love like I am with some of my perfumes but it gives me a "bubblegum (insert "b" word here)" vibe lol. I prefer the original Black Opium from YSL but I'm glad I have this one in my collection of goodies. For me, the best way to tell how much I actually like a fragrance is to see if I would re-buy it in a full size. My rule is first bottle has to be a 1 or 1.7fl oz and when I finish that I decide if 1) I should re-buy it at all and 2) If I like it enough to own it in a 3.4 fl oz amongst all the perfumes I have. I think I would repurchase this, but not in the 3.4fl oz.
@QueenMarceline cool, I'd like to try it but the testers at ulta all look the same, its so hard to tell which is which, even though they have a few different varieties...im not sure if they just dont have a tester of that one, or what...the blue one also looked intriguing...cant remember the name, or if they still have that one. the nice thing about the original is that it comes in the big a** 5 oz bottle, too. lol. I got a couple minis of the new extreme version, and didnt really like that one as much.
@treestar86 You're definitely right about that, the difference of the bottles is non-existent here. I own the OG Black Opium in a larger size and the Neon in a small size but if they were the same size bottle I'd have trouble telling it apart. The only actual difference I notice is the little "glass circle" part of the perfume where you can physically see the liquid moving around on the Neon version has a hot pink tint to it whereas the OG is more of a medium bubble gum pink. If you flip them upside down I think they should say the actual perfume in those teeeeeny tiiiiiiny little letters on the tiiiiiiny teeeeeeny little sticker lol! 😂I can't fully tell if it does though, I'll have to get my magnifying glass
@QueenMarceline lol, yes they all look different online, but up close...not so much. yes I've tried looking at the *teeny tiny little sticker* also lol, but thats also hard to read, I'll have to bring a magnifying glass next time also. thats usually about when someone asks if im finding everything alright...AGAIN!!! lol. 😩😪
