Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

In case anyone else is ordering overnight, some of the 5x multiplier brands are- Burt's Bees, Pacifica, Botanics, Body Shop, Juice, Origins, Derma-E, Sheamoisture, and Organic to Green. The latter's Arctic coconut-shea butter is amazing as a lip balm, lasts forever, and smells like a scoop of French vanilla ice cream. 🙂

You're right. I was just looking for the natural skincare blurb that was on their homepage last week thinking those would be the brands with items included, but it was replaced by Korean skincare. I then tried a random item from every brand listed as 'Natural under Skincare', but none worked yet. I wonder if it will include the skincare oils in last week's natural oils sample bag like Body Shop Tea Tree, Botanics Facial Oil, Julep's Rosehip Oil, etc. (I need to order PRT retinol today with reward points & the 20%, so I want to get the max points.)

Why doesn’t Ulta offer $10 free flash shipping like Sephora? I would spend so much more money but I refuse to pay for shipping 🤬 💰

In my opinion, it's all a trade-off in how the two stores decide to spend their budgets for promotions. Sephora offers flash shipping, but shipping is expensive, and that doesn't leave a lot of money for an extensive rewards program. Ulta, on the other hand, has decided to put that money into points instead, giving us an excellent rewards program that allows cash off our purchases. Offering free shipping would likely cut the rewards back.

Could both stores increase their rewards budgets and still make a profit? Probably. But I doubt that'll happen...any increase in spending in one area would likely lead to a cut in another area. I'm down with ulta keeping shipping at $50 if it means the points program stays intact.

I agree. I also believe that Ulta doesn't do outright free shipping because drug store brands still make up the majority of their product lines. It wouldn't be cost effective to ship out a product that's not even 5 bucks. On an overall scale, they'd be shipping orders out for free with an average value of less than $20. You're right, they'd be offsetting those costs by slashing the rewards program. Sephora can do it because their products have much higher profit margins. Also their marketing team knows that beauty purchases are mostly impulse buys and they don't want their customers to be deterred by shipping costs. Now I am puzzled by the brands themselves like Chanel, Guerlain, YSL, Dior, MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc., that are not resellers, don't have extensive loyalty programs, and yet still have high shipping minimums.

@RGbrown - since we were just talking about this the other day .. i've noticed that i impulse shop a lot less at ulta and it's probably b/c of the shipping fee and also b/c of all the gwp's. that free rouge shipping just makes it so easy! so i guess that's an unintended positive, @muddlepup
