Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

@notcreative@RGbrownThank you both for taking the time to share what you like and what to avoid. I'm glad their lip products are solid and the konjac sponges are worth it.
The Balm crayon sounds like my dream if it it's not prone to melting, since I'm in desperate need of a lippie for intense summer outdoor stuff with the public that's moisturizing, fairly natural, & opaque enough to cover zinc lip balm. If it's melt-y, it still sounds good for everyday.
Thank you both, again. You've been a big help. Wheee!
I haven't tried as much of their stuff as I'd like to yet, sadly, but I do have a few faves.
-Night Shift, which you mentioned too 😄
-Love Your Bare Face cleansing oil + konjac is simply lovely for removing makeup and sunscreen.
-I have one of their gels liners and love it
-It's Balm lip crayon...comfy, easy to wear and reapply, lovely colors.
-I just started a sample of their Boost Your Radiance facial oil, but that was literally today so I've still got some time to go before evaluating it. First impression is good though!
-Skip the Brush Crème to Powder Highlighter: omg love. I have some texture to my face from years of neglect, and this is the best highlighter I've ever found for giving me a nice glow without screaming "hey look at this bumpy mess" lol
So far I'm not the biggest fan of their nail polish though. When I did my sub, my 12pc polish set came first, and I tried it with my existing base and top coats, but it didn't work well (as in, not at all...7 hours after painting and they were still soaking wet 😮 ). I then customized my next box to include their topcoat and also ordered their fast dry drops. Not sure the drops help much, but the topcoat makes a world of difference in dry time. However...the polish shrinks pretty badly on me once I apply the topcoat, so I still have some playing to do to see if I can minimize that.
Yes, Julep polishes take a long time to dry on me. For me, it is worth the wait, because they stay chip free longer than most of my other polishes. The quick dry drops help, but they evaporate in the old bottle too quickly. The new bottles are still at my ex's house so I am unsure if they have the same problem.
I have the face oil, but I have not tried it yet. *Read yours when I saw a list to see if I forgot anything.
Wish I got the tarte multiplier instead of too faced.. 😔
Ulta has a beauty bag available now with a $65 purchase!!!
Product ID 18171109
Eek, I'm so tempted by this! And with the 20% off coupon my cart is sitting at $65.15 before taxes.
The 6pc sunscreen sampler is still working too, at least for now, even though it was supposed to be one day only. If your cart is stuff you need, all in all, it's not a bad deal. A few too many packets for my preference, but still a pretty nice mix!
What's the product ID for the 6 pc suncare sampler?
@boriskarla I just sent you the spreadsheet link, hope that helps 🙂
Well, I don't know if "need" is the correct term, but it was stuff I've been wanting to try and that is potentially missing from my routine. So I pulled the trigger.
Just got this in my email. Product 17102409
Thanks for posting this, @RandeeJ9! For some reason I wasn't getting my U-Mail for a while, so I didn't get this. I printed it out today and picked up a free gift! They were out of the Pureology, so I got a substitution of Fekkai The One Leave-In Conditioner. It's all good to me.
And I just read that Platinum and Diamond members get free shipping with a minimum of $10 purchases of Beauty Steal items. That saves me a trip tomorrow - and will score me 3 free samples with purchase. Yay!
@RandeeJ9 Thank you for the code. I just tried it but it did not work for me. I guess this is a targeted offer.
@Loretta55 there's no code needed. It's not targeted, just available for everyone. That product number is just how you find it and then you add it to your cart and it becomes free with any purchase. If you copy that product number, then click on any item on the website, go into the url and replace the product number with the one you copied to get to the item. I'm probably not explaining how to find it very well but I believe there are instructions on this thread' s original post.
You definitely do not need a code. Instructions on how to use a product ID for an online order are in the OP, and the barcode for in-store use is in the picture. The only thing cut off at the bottom is the recipient's email address.
New GWP!
Product ID 18101109
And a new multiplier as well 😃
Does anyone have any favorite non-prestige brand items you like to buy when you get a 20% off coupon? I'm looking for inspiration. I never want to miss out on a deal! Thanks!
