Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

@Anonymous I hope that you read my review on the Dyson. I definitely prefer the Bio Ionic 10X Blow Dryer which is over $100.00 cheaper and the coupon works on it.
@itscarin I dried my hair with the Dyson Blow Dryer and I will give you the pros and cons.
Pros:
I do not sweat when blow drying my hair
Lightweight, but so is the Bio Ionic they each weigh 1 pound
It is much quieter than my Bio Ionic.
Magnetic attachments
Cons:
It still takes me between 10 - 15 minutes to dry my hair, my roots still feel wet ( I have not quite figured out how to correct that ) No such problem with the Bio Ionic 10X
You have to hold the button for the cool shot to work. I do not have this problem with the Bio Ionic 10X
Cost, $399.00 plus tax Bio Ionic 10X is currently $295.00 plus tax (I bought it when it was $329.00 plus tax using 20% off coupon plus points)
The filter is located in the handle, I guess there is a learning curve with that.
The cord is hard to store inside of the box that it came in. Others have mentioned this problem when I read the reviews online.
I hope this clarifies the pros & the cons of the Dyson Blow Dryer. I think that I am going to keep it. It rarely goes on sale, but I purchased it when there was a 5 times multiplier so I literally got it for $275.00. I have until July 24 to decide. As I said in my previous post I still prefer the Bio Ionic 10X Blow Dryer. When I get my root touch up next week I will see if my Devacurl stylist has any additional recommendations on how to use it more efficiently.
@itscarin To be honest I prefer the Bio Ionic 10X Blow Dryer that I purchased about 3 years ago using the 20% off coupon plus points. I see no difference between that and the Dyson Blow Dryer but I want to give it one more try. I do not think it was user error because I reread the instructions and it still takes as long to dry my hair as using the Bio Ionic with the diffuser getting the exact same results.
@itscarin I am not sure if you placed your order because I noticed the new collection from Stila is now available on Ulta dot com. I want to swatch them before any purchases. I feel that I got burtned on the Vault purchase. More than half of the colors did not work for me.
I held onto my first coupon waiting for a good GWP to drop, but it never did. I received a second email but the code was the same as the first. 😕
Me too!
Yup, that's likely why!
One of these days, I'll remember that ulta does that pretty frequently. I keep holding onto mine until the last day, scared that a good gwp or something will come along after I use mine, or I'll realize I forgot something...I should just start using mine early and hoping a second one comes along if I decide I need it 😋
The Jumbo Haircare Event will start this Sunday, July 1st. I've added the event link to the spreadsheet for anyone interested 🙂
What kind of issues @sarahshter? Because I have not received coupons/multipliers in there either. And usually I would have the multipliers in there even before I'd get the e-mail notification (when I was still getting them). I hate how ULTA cant fix their problem.
All three are now OOS.
Woohoo, I'm happy to see something other than Opal in a GWP!
I'm also sad to say that Rose Gold is already in my collection because I bought the mini set with the rose gold powder and liquid that was on sale around Xmas 😄
