Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

My favorite shade of tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm is hibiscus @greeneyedgirl107. I would recommend purchasing it because if you have diamond status you will receive 360 points which does add up. I do feel menthol in  Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm Sense . I personally like the effect. 

 I am disappointed in the GWP bags because they mainly have drugstore products.

@Loretta55 thanks for the info!!  I ordered the tarte.  I guess I can skip the HG.  I'll be curious to see how my three Ulta orders work out...I don't want to make too many returns and have trouble with TRE...but there's a first time for everything!

You're right about the GWP, come to think about it!  But I was kinda surprised they had them, and they weren't OOS by the time I placed my orders.

I’m not sure if you saw that there is a Tarte lip combo on Ulta for $29.00 @greeneyedgirl107 . It contains tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump in cherry blossom and tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm in orchid. This purchase will provide you with 305 points. I do get a mild tinge from the lip plump but there is a strong coconut scent that all of the Maracuja lips have.

I try to refrain from "wow, what a terrible gift" because sure, everyone has different preferences and no one gwp will please everyone, but really? Five minis and a full size Ulta eye primer for $60? This may very well be one of the worst I've ever seen 😐

@RGbrown this doesnt seem that unusual to me, lol 😅 wasnt there a "perfume sampler" of a few perfume samples for $75 recently? 🤔

I dunno, this one just struck me as particularly bad lol, the minis aren't even that exciting or valuable, just more of the same old same old stuff that routinely comes in better sets with more samples. I also just noticed both sets have two mascaras...good grief, one-third mascara is a ridiculous ratio 😅 For a $60 makeup sampler, I expect way more than this. 

There's the current 14pc (mostly) fragrance sets with select $75 fragrance purchases...also a bit ho hum, but at least they have more pieces. I know piece count isn't the be all end all in determining how nice a gift is, but at least with that, you've got a few more things to try out.

I do feel like their gwps aren't as nice as they used to be, but this one just really got me. I'd rather see one of the old $25/$30 bags of packets (whatever happened to those, it's been a while?!) than this disappointing 6pc, half drugstore, $60 ridiculousness.

You have to use the $15 reward all at once, and it comes as a separate card so you'll either have to use it individually or have CS combine it with a regular GC for you, but yeah, you could absolutely use it on 10x day.

Ugh, yeah, I'm so annoyed they took that away. 😖 Someone on Reddit said they still do. If inclined, you could also go in store and buy a fresh $90 GC (or whatever total you need) and use the reward + GC to pay.
