Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

The 5x skincare and body care multiplier isn't working well for me.  I had a cart with a bunch of different qualifying items, and for some reason, not all of the items were adding up to 5x.  For example, I tried to add the fresh Body and Hand Wash and then added a supergoop spf moisturizer, but it wasn't giving me 5x on the total cart.  If I did just the body wash I got 5x, and if I did just the moisturizer I got 5x, but for some reason when they were combined I got less than 5x.

Just a little caveat emptor to check your points before purchasing.

If I didn't already have shampoo coming out of my ears, including olaplex, I'd buy the olaplex shampoo and conditioner which are $21 each right now, and use the $10 off coupon with that.

I'm still debating if I want to buy the Retro and My Dream palettes at Ulta or Sephora.  Ulta doesn't have any sets that appeal to me right now.  Neither does Sephora.  I'm $537 away from Diamond at Ulta and $619 away from Rouge at Sephora.  I'm hoping tomorrow brings some points multipliers.  Or a GWP that includes the single sample ND I need a nud3 shadow.  I really can't take anymore stuff at my house.

Just a lil heads up (& what I'm very recently had to come to terms with) @itscarin Ulta has been sending even the bigger palettes in bubble mailers. And just hanging out in their own box no other protection 😞 I have been lucky lately but don't want to risk with the new ND xenon palette as much as I would like those points

@sonnydeeThanks for the heads up.  I hope I'm not jinxing myself by saying this, but I think I must just be lucky.  In all my online shopping I think I only received 1 broken palette once (a give them lala palette I bought from boxycharm so no loss there) and some broken candles once like 5 years ago. 

I think if you bought it with points and it came out broken, customer service would still replace it for you since it's not an exchange, just swapping out a defective product.  I understand if you don't want to risk it being a gray area for CS though.

I’m finding myself curious about the new e.l.f. lip oils as some people swear they are Dior lip oil dupes. Anybody tried them? Does e.l.f. ever go on a brand sale at Ulta (Cyber Monday, Perk Day etc.) or is 20% off coupon the highest discount one can get?

@civ2ruAre you my bff from HS because she literally asked me this question a couple of weeks ago.  I bought the Dior Lip oil in mahogany after my high school aged cousin-in-law (is that a thing?) mentioned it was all over tik tok and she wanted to get it.  I unfortunately wasn't able to get it for her while she was here, but I bought her the lip balm version in the same color.  

Anyway, bought the Dior lip oil... and I really don't get what the big deal is.  How is this trending on tiktok?  It's the faintest hint of color, and it's ok moisturizing wise but nothing standout?  IDK.  I'm just old I guess. 

All this to say, the lip oils are great but not amazing.  I'd rather have the fresh lip balms but I'm not cool, so take my review with a grain of salt.  😄

Most trends on TikTok are lies. They wear lip liner, lipstick before they put stuff on and use different filters and lighting to make stuff look like it has better color payoff than it actually does. I've tried them all cept for ELF. The milani lip oils are better than Dior with actual pigment that does not irritate my lips. However, the dior lip balm and gloss in mahogany is bomb.
