Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

@QueenMarceline It's 4 mini perfumes and 2 vials.  I'm a little disappointed with the vials.  Ironically, I would feel more excited about this gift if it was just 4 mini perfumes and no vials.  The vials just makes it feel cheap and makes it feel like a downgrade.  I believe there are have been sets in the past that came with 5 or 6 mini perfumes, so the vials seems like a way they're trying to pad the freebie and make it seem bigger than it actually is.  

4 mini perfumes is still totally respectable though.  Especially for a $50 buy-in.  To get 4 mini perfumes at Sephora I think you'd have to sell your left kidney.  LOL.

@itscarin I completely agree there, the little vials are unnecessary. I'm mostly excited about the mini Flowerbomb which would be awesome for travel and I already own the large size, as well as the Romance perfume. I really enjoy the scent but for whatever reason never buy it in it's full size. And hahaha! You'd probably have to sell both kidneys to get this from Sephora 😂

@RGbrown Thank you, ended up taking advantage of this since I already wanted to use the 10x lip product multiplier to try out new things and stock up on some old faves. Ended up finding a mini of the tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Balm Rose and another of the Too Faced Hangover Pillow Balm Ultra-Hydrating Lip Balm Original  which are both products I've been eyeing but have not been able to get myself to buy the full sized product of "just to try". Getting to dabble with them while getting one free was definitely worth it in my book.

I'm trying to figure out points vs. multipliers and how to maximize them. 

I was wondering about the points because I'm not sure how the multiple multipliers work. 

It's my birthday month, so that's 2x points. 

Then, I have a 3x multiplier for fragrance, and a 5x multiplier for the YSL. 

If I were to buy one of the YSL eu de parfume (or whatever the multiplier states)at the $30 travel spray, or the $76 for 1oz size, does anyone know what the points should be? 

I've added them in my cart but I don't think the points total is correct, but maybe I'm just mistaken so I figured you awesome ladies would be able to answer before any employee would. lol

Ulta math is never as straightforward as it could be, so confusion is normal!

5x + 3x + 2x = 8x

All multipliers are really made up of two components: your base point that you get with every purchase, plus bonus points, i.e. 5x really means "1 base + 4 bonus". However, you only get one base point, even when adding multipliers together, so you have to take the extra base points out of the additional multipliers you are adding together.

$30 x 8 points = 240 points, or $76 x 8 points = 608 points. If you have platinum or diamond status, you'll see a bit more than that in your total (an extra 0.25 or 0.5 points per dollar).

New multipliers don't display in the cart until 2am central. If you're feeling iffy, wait til then. I'd assume they are included, but as badly as Ulta has screwed up some multipliers in the past, it's not a terrible thing to be able to confirm before purchase.
