Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

For anyone curious, it seems like the birthday coupons, both $10 off & gift, are not sent out in the app like last year, so look for the email at the start of your birthday month. Additionally, it looks like of the two gift choices, one will be online only, & the online code works for either 🙂

@ohheyitscindyk @I didn’t check. I usually get my ulta e-mails around 4 am but the birthday one came at 2.  I think the app notification came at 8 ish.

I barely made Platinum this year, so keeping my Diamond status is a nice perk. I also used to get my hair cut at Ulta but with the pandemic I just started having my stylist come over to my house and she cuts my hair on my patio while we wear masks (I'm in LA, so weather cooperates), so I'll probably just keep doing that as long as she has time.

I'm a little miffed because I placed a last minute order to make sure I stayed platinum, and then got an offer for platinum for 2021. Why the heck didn't I get upgraded to diamond? Weird.

I'm 99.9% certain that folks were given the same status they had last year, so if you were only Platinum in 2020, that's what you would have been offered, if you hadn't made it in your own. It appears to be intended as an extension of current benefits, not an upgrade to another tier.

@RGbrown gotcha. I suppose that makes sense. And it was probably determined who they would send the offer out to before I re-qualified on the 31st. I guess at least this way, I don't feel pressure to not return the things I ordered at the end of the year that didn't work out. But man, I would not have pushed so hard for the last $150 I needed had I known. I guess that's part of their plan as well....

@RGbrown When I first saw your tag before work I didn't have the offer, but they did send it out to me this morning.  How cool was that of them!  I had a bit more than 400$ worth of points in there so I'm quite happy to keep them.  Would be even more cool if Sephora did this for people as well after seeing that Ulta was doing it.  (I don't need to worry about Sephora they're super easy, almost too easy, to buy from in either country lol) but I know there were a number of people who'd inquired about it.  Thanks so much for you help last night!  I found the CS reps response that the store could help me out to be a bit odd as well... you'd think that the CS rep would have more leeway with points but I figured I'd give it a shot none the less.  I won't worry about it now, but I am going to try to place an order next week from a US VPN using a US credit card just to see if I can do it.

@Luvstravel I did!  What a nice surprise that was!  I kinda wrote it off last night as one of those, oh well... it'd be nice if someone could make it happen, but I'm not gonna hold my breath kinda thing.  I should just be grateful that my big problem at New Years was how to order make up lol.  Thank you for trying to help me out last night, I knew that if anyone was going to know how to deal with a beauty purchasing issue it would be BIC lol
