Let's keep this thread on topic!

Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Spoiler

Item #1 - $53.50

Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)

* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x

Total Spent - $162

Base Points Earned - 162

Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)

5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)

5x Item/Brand Earned - 434

Total Points Earned - 1285

Spoiler

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Cheapest item that gets you 300 points is the Happy couple set, which I happen to like the scent of. Yay! not sure how long this buddy will last.

RE: Cheapest item that gets you 300 points is the Happy coupl...

YES!!! I placed an in store pickup for the $9 Clinique for 300 points. I have the mermaid tangle teezer and love it! It’s great on the go for my finer hair and massages my sensitive scalp too. Scalp feels better afterwards. Great deal at 50% off. Better than hello kitty version. It’s almost too pretty to use 😂

This set is in the 5x + earns 300 bonus points (only work...

This set is in the 5x + earns 300 bonus points (only works on one item, one time) =392 points if you are diamond. @itscarin this one is a similar "roi" lol

Re: This set is in the 5x + earns 300 bonus points (only work...

that one doesn't work (maybe since it's on sale?).  oh well, the cliniue at half the price is still a better deal.  and there is a Clean rollerball trio for $10 that works (but I already have 3, lol).

Re: Cheapest item that gets you 300 points is the Happy coupl...

@alexalicious I don’t want or need this but the roi in points is literally 30x. If you’re able to purchase 7 of these you will spend $70 and get $125. It’s like you’re making $55 on each purchase of 7.

edit: tried to go back for more but is in fact one time only. I still estimate buying this set made me $7 since 7/55 = $7.85.

Re: Ulta GWPs

New multiplier!

This one kinda hurts...I'm trying not to buy more polish, but now I'm feeling the urge to store hop, hunting OPI Scotland clearance 🙃

Re: Ulta GWPs

This was a fall 2019 collection and even Sally's Beauty Supply has sold out of them. @RGbrown

Re: Ulta GWPs

I found several at Ulta today, and even noticed a few shades at Nordstrom Rack (NR wants $8 for them vs $5.25 at Ulta though) 😁

This isn't doing it for me but if you liked the Bourbon pencil this could be a good deal.

Sorry about the repost @itscarin. I think my post or app delayed and I hadn't seen yours yet. Not sure how to delete mine.

Re: Sorry about the repost @itscarin. I think my post or app...

Sephora and boxycharm totally won my dollars in the past week. I agree @rbkh. Thanks @itscarin I was on airport WiFi, lol. Yep, $150 is ridiculous. It would have been cool to see a real wow item treat from Ulta on Halloween, but instead it's a naughty trick late to the party. If the perks day deals had been more interesting it would have been a better sell, but instead these past few have been making me wonder if diamond status is all that.

Re: Sorry about the repost @itscarin. I think my post or app...

@alexalicious @Diamond isn’t what it was last year, but I still think it’s worth it. When they made the diamond gift a $25 min purchase they lost me. I still like it for the multipliers though. It’s still a better loyalty program than Sephora. I haven’t purchased anything during the current sale. I definitely won’t make rouge this year.

Re: Sorry about the repost @itscarin. I think my post or app...

@alexalicious No worries, I don't think anyone's paying attention to today's BB anyway.

But on a side note -- the 35 piece GWP for $150 buy in is still available.  LOL.  I don't think anyone's falling for that trap, either!

Re: Sorry about the repost @itscarin. I think my post or app...

$150 buy-in is just plain greedy... my love for Ulta has been steadily downgrading, and the BBs haven't been enticing, either. That plus adding so many terrible brands to their line up has me on a big no-buy so far - I'd rather stick with beauty subscriptions!

Re: Sorry about the repost @itscarin. I think my post or app...

I fell for it....gifts with purchase always get me....and I had 2000 points soooo :/

Re: Ulta GWPs

Beauty break 4 piece urban decay with $50 purchase

Step up 3 piece. Urban decay with $70 purchase

Ulta GWPs

A bit late but here is the Benefit gwp from a couple of weeks ago, 3 full size brow products and the duffle bag is well made and roomy, would definitely recommend grabbing if it comes up again
