Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

@WinglessOne There’s a second release and the lipstick cases are red
New multiplier!
the halloween headbands are adorable. 😛
Funny story: I checked my app for this offer and didn't have it. Then I got the email a little later and now I have it. I'm not sure if it's because the app didn't update properly or if it's because ulta waited to release that multiplier with the email.
I received my shipping notice for today’s order 5 hours after placing it but I did not luck out getting my order from the Pa. warehouse because estimated date of delivery is October 22.
Come on Ulta you have been spoiling me! I was used to receiving my orders the following day after placing it.
@alexalicious Ooh thank you!! This wasn't in my Informed Delivery email today, so fingers crossed I'll get it soon!
I just received the same postcard @alexalicious,@ohheyitscindyk . This is a completely different code from the other 2 codes that I received & used.
Heads up for anyone who likes the Living Proof brand: new GWP added today (really nice, it's basically the full volume kit!), stacks with the previous GWP of PhD shampoo/conditioner
- get both at $30 LP spend. Plus 5x points, plus 20%, plus GWPs ($80 buy-in bag and Hempz are both available at time I'm posting). WHEW.
I'm beyond excited to try it - Revolution Skincare is looking so promising these days!
I am not sure if anybody else has noticed that when you attempt to redeem 4000 points, only 3950 points are deducted from your account. I guess that Ulta only wants us to redeem 2000 points at a time.
One thing with points is that you basically have to spend over the $125 amount to get the full point to redeem. If it's a penny less it will go to the next point denomination down. That's been my issue in the past.
I was aware of that @mwg1. My gripe was that I was unable to redeem for the full 4000 points. This time I redeemed my points in store and I even mentioned that I was unable to redeem the full 4000 points. I figured that the SA who checked me out could possibly get the full 4000 points to work but she was unable to get it to work either.
So I will be redeeming my points in 2000 increments until this problem gets resolved.
I used the website for the 2000 point redemption @Maria88. I thought that it took the first time but then I noticed that I was going to be charged more for my order than I thought. I then removed the points redemption and tried again then it would not go beyond 1950 points. On the final try it actually took so I placed my order.
The larger redemption of points was in store because I wanted to get my birthday gift and to use the $10.00 birthday credit so I picked up 3 of the Pumpkin Foaming Hand Cleansers. I also do not use dry shampoo so my SA gave me multiple choices and I chose a Benefit set that contained a deluxe sized Roller Lash Mascara along with 2 Roller Lash Eyeliners, one each in black and brown.
I just used my other 20% off coupon in addition to 2000 points and I was able to stack the Beauty Break and the GWP’s. The system made it difficult to redeem in 2000 point increments. The system kept locking at 1950 points. It took multiple tries to get to the 2000 point redemption. Be careful when redeeming points because there is a huge discrepancy between 1950 points and 2000 points. 1950 points has a $86.00 value and 2000 points has a $125.00 value. That is a $39.00 difference.
