Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

I just get all the clearance stuff after the holidays...lol.  🙂  there was a skinfix holiday lip balm set that was half off, but didn't show up in the sale section.  they seem to have a lot of philosophy items (got a warm cashmere set for like $20) and some perfume samplers...also last year they had stila eyeshadows, laura geller and other name brand items half off after the holidays...so it's good to stock up then if you can haha.

Does anyone know if bonus points get applied to purchases made with ulta points? I know you can’t earn points for a purchase paid for with points, but I’m wondering if you can earn the bonus points. 

For example, last year they did 500 bonus points with any naked cherry palette. I’m wondering if I used points to buy the cherry palette would I get the bonus 500 points?  I know I wouldn’t get base points or multipliers but I’m wondering if it’s true for bonus points as well.

@itscarin , @RGbrown I just tested out the BTS + BTW Bonus. Before using points, it says I will earn 446 points. When I use points, it says I will earn 350 points, so it looks like you will still earn bonus points.

Good question! I haven't thought to try it since they killed earning while redeeming. It seems like it miiiight have a shot at working. Can someone who has the current TF BTS+BTW test it out and see if the points still show at checkout after applying points? I'd test myself, but didn't get it.

@RGbrown @sephoraaddict918 next question: do we think ulta will do 500 bonus points for the honey palette like they did for the cherry palette last year?  I looked at the spreadsheet and saw there was an overlap between the bonus points on the cherry offer and the 20% off code. I have been waiting for a bonus points offer to pick up the honey palette. 

I’m trying to time it right so I maximize my points.

I don't really know @itscarin. Last year I wondered if Ulta had the bonus point offer because the Cherry palette was not selling a well as they had hoped, and Ulta needed a way to move more product. If the Honey palette is in a similar situation, then I could see another bonus point offer coming our way.

No clue, really. I'd say it's a decent possibility...bonus point offers have been pretty prevalent for UD items.

@ohheyitscindykI got the 20% yesterday, and I didn't receive this one like @RGbrown. This does seem like a terrible consolation prize because some of us got 2 20% coupons and others got none.

I know a sample size of one isn't statistically relevant at all, but I got the 20% and did not get this. It seems like a fairly lame consolation prize for folks left out yesterday 😐

It's still 20% and I guess it's fine if you were only planning to spend around $75 anyways...but it just seems weak to me.

Anyone getting Error 15000 when trying to sign on to the app? I keep trying to build my cart and it won't let me. 😭 Not sure if I should uninstall/reinstall app.

I'm getting the same error. Can't even login using app. I did a reinstall & still doesn't work. Works fine on laptop, though. Crazy.

It's working fine for me (but it has been beastly off and on for me the last week or so...I normally force stop it and wait a bit before trying again, though I guess I dunno if doing that works or Ulta just fixed it while I was waiting lol). If that doesn't help, reinstalling would be my next try.
