Let's keep this thread on topic!

Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Spoiler

Item #1 - $53.50

Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)

* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x

Total Spent - $162

Base Points Earned - 162

Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)

5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)

5x Item/Brand Earned - 434

Total Points Earned - 1285

Spoiler

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

@RGbrown, That was quick. I already take a biotene pill daily for thin nails and can definitely tell a difference in the growth of my hair monthly. Good catch on that price🙂

Re: @RGbrown, That was quick. I already take a biotene pill d...

@Luvstravel   It was truly amazing; I was on in the early a.m. and some of the Phyto items were selling out as I shopped!

Re: @RGbrown, I'm just now checking in, they are now sold out...

@Luvstravel

Dang, that was quick! So sorry you missed them! 😥

Nice catch @RGbrown!

Nice catch on the phyto vitamins @RGbrown!

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@alexalicious

I was shocked tbh. Ulta has been pretty good about killing those overlaps lately, but it looks like someone in IT missed one. I've been contemplating starting a biotin supplement just to see if it helps my thinning hair and weak nails, but had pretty well dismissed phyto based on price...considering each bottle is two months worth, it's not terrible, but $60/$90 is still hard to swallow for something new to me. I was looking for a lower buy-in to start off with, and probably would have just wound up getting something a little cheaper at CVS. But now I have Phyto coming for ~$17 a bottle, so yay for Ulta glitches! 😋

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

For what it's worth, I picked up some Nature Made Hair, Skin & Nails vitamins and have definitely noticed my nails get stronger. I can't speak to if they help with hair because I haven't really paid attention to that. They are like $13ish for 120 (4 month supply) at Target. I picked up one bottle of Phyto and have been taking one a day instead of the recommended 2 and didn't see a decrease in my nail strength from the Nature Made. I hope they work for you @RGbrown !

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@snoflakefaerie

Good to know! I kinda plan on only taking one a day as well; I've read that biotin can aggravate acne, and while I've had mine under control for a couple of years now, I prefer not to have to start that battle again if I can avoid it. Once I see how one works, I can decide if two is something to consider or if I'm happy with what that does for me.

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@RGbrown I have read that, too. I also read in an article that the acne breakouts may be caused by a deficit of pantothenic acid uptake due to over abundance of biotin in your digestive system. The Phyto has both, which theoretically would help prevent acne flare ups. I usually take a separate B vitamin that has it, so that could explain why I didn't experience noticable acne issues.

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

So happy you got those so cheap @RGbrown! I grabbed the deal as well, my thoughts were so similar... Really curious to see how this will work out and the price was always too high to justify before. I like the grow gorgeous serum and picked that up too and cashed in 2000 points. The phyto went oos right after I ordered, so you were spot on about not waiting. Thank you for sharing your awesome catch on the deal stack!

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@alexalicious

Yay, glad you were able to jump on the deal too!

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@RGbrown   Thanks for sharing; I forgot all about Phyto, yet I really liked one of their hair styling products.

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@Ispend2much6

Awesome, I hope you managed to snag something!

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

@RGbrown   I did.  I'm a go big or go home type of person, and I spent over half of my Ulta points rewards, so I hope I like everything! lol

Believe it or not, I have found HUM's products to be very effective.  Their vitamin D is great; it brought my vit. D up to acceptable levels in my labs, and I've  taken their Red Carpet and Killer Nails supplements.  My nails were a lot better when I did.  The Red Carpet supplement's oils are actually anti-inflammatory in general, so it's a double duty supplement.

Re: Nice catch @RGbrown!

❤️❤️❤️ @RGbrown’s superhero catch!!!! I snagged an unbelievable deal today before Ulta caught on 🤣. Phyto is an expensive old brand with some excellent products that has fallen off the radar. Today I rediscovered an oldie but goodie.  Into my mid 20s, my hair could handle anything. I used the cheapest harshest drugstore stuff daily and it looked and felt great. Then first ever I started having scalp and hair issues from stress, sleep deprivation, aging etc. Back then Phyto had this pricy yummy smelling rich egg protein shampoo that brought my hair back to life when nothing else worked.

Don't think this has been posted yet 🙂

Gorgeous Hair is up as well. Happy shopping!

ETA: my app wouldn't update the gwp page for several minutes, grrrrr. Anyways, there's a new gwp as well; choice of 6 foundation samplers with a $25 makeup purchase. Adds to cart automatically 😊

(Plus lots of new brand specific ones as well, be sure to check them out!)

Re: Ulta GWPs

With the 5x too faced multiplier and the 4x diamond multiplier you get 8.5x which works out to 35% off — it’s a better deal than the 20% off they did last week.

Re: Ulta GWPs

I didn't get that multiplier @RGbrown. I got the offer of 350 bonus points for buying the BTS Mascara and BTW Foundation.Ulta Bonus.png

39+25= 64 x4.5= 288 +350= 638 points on $64 I got the bon...

39+25= 64 x4.5= 288 +350= 638 points on $64 I got the bonus points as well and just don't need these right now, but that's practically 10x! I think the 5x multiplier is nicer stacked with 3x or 4x because it means you can grab those holiday sets, but if you didn't get the TF 5x I'll bet we see some deals on those in a few weeks anyway.

Re: 39+25= 64 x4.5= 288 +350= 638 points on $64 I got the bon...

It is a really good deal @alexalicious, but I just bought the Damn Girl Mascara, and I already have plenty of foundations. I'm working through the Born This Way as my foundation for the month. Plus, I am ready to spend all the points I've been racking up.
