Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

I’m trying to resist all these GWP and wait until 10x points day. I usually spend about $100 to get the most return while not entirely breaking my budget. It’s hard to resist when there are so many sales right now! I wish we can have a preview of 10x points day so I don’t have FOMO.

Your birthday gift is a $10 coupon, so you won't earn points on it. You will earn points on whatever you actually spend, regardless of how you pay for it (so yes, you can pay with a gift card and still earn points).

Okay, so with a heavy heart and slightly irritated at myself for waffling and missing out on the Tarte GWP, I make my order and settle for the Kate Sommerville GWP, the mascara GWP and the Ulta GWP. I got a missed call from Ulta Beauty (?!) and just listened to the message.. apparently, they saw I was missed out on a GWP and were very sorry, and sent me a $25 e-gift card!! I checked my email and there it was! I don't know if it's another GWP that just went out of stock or the Tarte one (even though it never made it past check out) but I'm happy! Talk about making a customer feel appreciated! 💗💗

@magda124 That's awesome!  See, that's the kind of customer service that sets Ulta apart.  I know it can be hit or miss, but I have never heard of Sephora doing anything like that for a customer.  The most generous I've heard them be is offering a couple of hundred points here and there for disappointments.  Some people say Ulta's cs sucks, but I think them reaching out to you to apologize with a $25 gc is a nice touch and shows that they really appreciate your business.

That's great! So they just sent you a gift card because they saw you had the GWP in your cart and it went out of stock?  You didn't contact customer service?

I'm trying to check out but every time I go to secure checkout, the Tarte GWP shows out of stock. 🤔 But when I go to the email, it still lets me add to cart. hmm! anyone successfully add this?

Looks like it's OOS; sometimes there's a little lag before the listing itself shows OOS and it'll let you add for a bit before it finally updates fully, but it pulls it out at checkout. I can't add it to my bag at all anymore now though

this is back as well, showing in gwps now... stacks on other offers so you can grab all 3 (this, Tarte, Kate) with $60 spend. If you have the PayPal $10 off $50 don't forget that too.

Anyone else notice that the original pics for these sets showed 8 mascaras, not 7? Good job Ulta 😋

There seems to be a glitch with these...add $40 of makeup, then remove it, and they stick around. I've got $60 of hair stuff in my cart, but the mascara stayed. There's only one option now though (option 1)

ETA: it seems it was the Tarte gwp counting for it, but now that's OOS, so this seems to be dead 😞

I rarely pay attention to the lists since pics are usually what grab my attention lol, so I hadn't noticed which ones were missing from the descriptions. I would have been highly annoyed over the Nars being missing, as I really like it and would have ordered that bag just for it. I'm curious to see though if anyone gets the Nars in that bag, as ultas track record leans heavily towards the pics being more accurate than the lists.

@RGbrown ditto! It was an easy pass for me without the NARS, I've got a dozen of deluxe Tarte TF mascaras already. It would have been more tempting if the new TF da*n girl was in there.  I'm always curious to see the actual gwps people get.

@RGbrown yes, I noticed that too! I was trying to finalize my basket and saw that it did not get removed when my makeup items went below the $40 mark.  Ended up getting some dry shampoo I wanted along with only $12 in makeup items and still got the GWP 🙂
