Ulta GWPs

This thread will be for Ulta GWPs only.  Share ulta promos here.

Please do NOT post requests for the spreadsheet in this thread.  Please post requests for the Ulta GWP google spread sheet in this thread:

A list of in store coupons is here:

Let's keep this thread on topic!

Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Item #1 - $53.50

Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)

* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x

Total Spent - $162

Base Points Earned - 162

Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)

5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)

5x Item/Brand Earned - 434

Total Points Earned - 1285

Links are not allowed.  In lieu of links, please read this:

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Re: Ulta GWPs

These are better than the $175 buy in they were doing a few weeks ago.  Still can't think of $80 worth of stuff I need though.  I have 5 jumbos and a handful of regular size shampoos and conditioners I'm still working through.  Admitting that publicly and to myself makes me realize how much I don't need more stuff, especially not hair stuff.

Re: Ulta GWPs

I totally know what you mean! those bags at that buy in are pretty good, and though I don't have as much inventory as you to work through, I have 3 jumbos and a whole bunch of samples from past gwps sitting in my closet. I also recently moved to an area with harder water and it is wreaking havoc on my hair and skin so I'm in the process of reevaluating all the products I'm using. so do i need more stuff from ulta, no (inventory wise) ...but yes?? lol

Re: Ulta GWPs

@phantompenguinx Add a hard water clarifying shampoo, if you don't have. I use Redken cream shampoo...and a part of the litre sale 😉

Re: Ulta GWPs

@TrysBeautyItems  I've been doing research and I'm a skeptic when it comes to articles that mention specific products even though that's kinda exactly what I'm researching lol and I don't trust product reviews either since so many reviews are skewed nowadays. I purely work off of peer suggestions now haha so thanks for the suggestion!! I mayyyy have to place an order 😬

Re: Ulta GWPs

@phantompenguinx sounds like you need one of those fancy/expensive shower heads to filter out your hard water.  Amirite?! 😏

Re: Ulta GWPs

@itscarin  🤑 with the new house + furniture + landscaping, I can budget in a fancy new shower head in probably a few months lol I actually want to redo the bathroom so I might have to wait for the project before changing up too much 🙈

Re: Ulta GWPs

Here's the new Smashbox setting powder I got with my last order. I thought I'd share since Ulta looks like it will be one of the first stores to get it.  It's very light; hard to overdo, and it does add a little tint to your skin if you're really pale like me.

Re: Ulta GWPs

@Ispend2much6   Thank you!  I’m about to run out of the discontinued UD setting powder. I’ll have to try that one.

Re: Ulta GWPs

@Indy701   You're welcome.  It seems like a nice powder; it's so light you can't tell you're wearing one.  Some powders feel heavy to me, but not this one.

Re: Ulta GWPs

@Ispend2much6 is is really mattifying or is it more of a soft focus powder?

Re: Ulta GWPs

@CookieGirl1   It's more mattifying than soft focus.  I saw a tinge of glow, but my face was still matte.  I'm not even sure what the difference is between a setting powder and a finishing  powder; I guess the setting powder goes on after foundation, and finishing powder is the last makeup application set?

Re: Ulta GWPs

Thanks, @Ispend2much6 .  I tend to stay away from matte powders so your review was helpful :).

Re: Ulta GWPs

@CookieGirl1   I'm glad.  I forgot to mention I did pile it on when I applied it with my finger, so even less product would go on your face while using a brush. I was trying to see if I could get coverage for my redness and not really.

Re: Ulta GWPs

Thanks for the photo @Ispend2much6. The packaging looks really nice!

Re: Ulta GWPs

@PrettyPaint   You're welcome!

Ulta GWPs

Here's a pic of the pick three items day with the Marc Jacobs GWP. I was sorta bummed, I ordered the Dose of Color Katy lip gloss but receivedRevolution brow definer, but I just called customer service and they are shipping my gloss 🙂 Also if anyone wants to see the difference between the two Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess that Ulta still had in stock, I ordered both, Mirage on left and Solar Crush on right.

@ohheyitscindyk, All three Estee Lauder Illuminators are gorgeous, but it's hard to take a good pick of highlighters. It's definitely worth stopping by the Estee Lauder counter to see them in person!

Re: Ulta GWPs

@Luvstravel ,

These both look so good in your photo.  Better than on Ulta.

They look too pretty to use, and to pretty to choose, so you need 2 of each!

@tsavorite, If Heatwave goes on sale I'll definitely pick it up.

@tsavorite, I think I'll return to my department store to re swatch their testers and decide this week. More than likely I'll return the Solar Crush ( the darkest of my swatches )

Re: @tsavorite, I think I'll return to my department store to...

@Luvstravel ,

Oh, I am slowly beginning to understand!  I wasn't familiar with the names, but I am starting to catch on.  I see why you want Mirage, I would want it.

I can also see why you think Solar Crush is too dark for you as a highlighter.  Maybe it could be a bronzer?

I really like Heat Wave on you!  Are you thinking of getting Heat Wave?
