Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

@SportyGirly125 Are you expecting, too?! When's your due date? Mine is 12/30. 😕 I feel like I owe the kid an apology already. LOL
@itscarin yup I’m expecting a baby girl in late September. I already have been prepping my son for his baby sister.
You will do just fine. With my first I wasn’t prepared at all. Everything I thought would happen didn’t and my labor plan got thrown out the window with an emergency c section. This time around I feel more prepared and at least have the essentials I need from my previous pregnancy.
@SportyGirly125 Emergency c-section?! Scary! Glad you're both ok. I cry at the delivery scenes during teen mom because they all seem so scary. Just thinking about it is getting me misty-eyed. And it's not the good tears!
I'm woefully under-prepared. I've never changed a diaper in my entire life, but there's a first time for everything. LOL. I'm just hoping I have time to slap on some concealer and winged liner before I go into labor. #goals
There really need to be more good stories about childbirth out there. I gave birth 10 months ago and I was freaking out about pushing and labor because of all the horror stories. It went really well for me. I still felt contractions once it was time to push but not the tearing. I legit pushed twice and she was out. Less than 10 minutes. I only took that long because I had to wait for the doc to get back to me. He didn’t think I was gonna be so quick because it was my first. Lol. I was “in labor” for like 14 hours but it was super chill, watched marvel movies. Lol
@Maria88 mine was not as easy because I had a 8 pound 8 ounce baby and a tiny frame.
@SportyGirly125 That's a big baby! Mine was smaller at 7lbs 6oz my doc was worried I wasnt going to be able to push her out because I was relatively small and all belly. So he induced me at 40 weeks instead of letting me go another 2 weeks which I guess is "fine." The nurse said that because I was really active my entire pregnancy that helped a lot. So Im grateful I had the energy to do that. I dont know what I would have done if if was a nightmare situation.
@Maria88 I was all belly too. Here’s the pic with my son couple weeks before he was born. I was also sick when I was in labor so that didn’t help with me trying to push him out. I had a hard time breathing
Awwwww! I love bellies! Lol I never understood the love of preggo bellies until I got my own. Here is one of me about a couple weeks before I gave birth. I look super tired. Plus I hate having my picture taken
@Maria88 what a gorgeous picture. I love your dress and your bump.
@itscarin I was in the same position as you. I took labor classes but it’s different when it’s actually happening. They will teach you in the hospital how to change a diaper and swaddle so no worries. The nurses will be helpful.
@itscarin I cried at first but after pushing for the whole day I was like okay let’s do this and then passed out. My contractions started at 1:30 am and then I had a scheduled induction at 5 am water broke at noon and pushed till 11:42 pm. It was a long day.
@itscarin The very warmest congratulations to you and your husband! I'll bet you'll be a fun mom. 🙂 Enjoy every day of this special time; there's nothing like it.
@itscarin big congratulations to you and your hubby. Very exciting news! Don’t worry too much about expensive crib. When my son was born we bought a mid price range crib and my husband literally spent up all night one night to install the crib and guess what? My son never slept in his crib for a full night. He was couch crasher so go figure lol 😂 And oh please get plenty of sleep while you can 😉😘
@blackkitty2014 I know... I'm trying to be practical because the crib will only be in use for a year, and if it's toddler friendly maybe 3 years tops. But I'll be damned if there aren't some really cute cribs out there! I guess I'll wait and see what it is. If it's a girl, I think it's Maslow's hierarchy of needs is going to be more top-heavy than if it's a boy. LOL
My suggestion on a crib is to spend money on one that converts into a toddler bed....you'll get years of use out of that type.
Awww congratulations @itscarin! How exciting, so much to look forward to😊
Congrats @itscarin ! Wow, lots of great things going on, and savvy shopping to boot! 😍
