Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Nice to see it! I think these sample packs are a fun surprise; 5-6 samples for practically nothing, on stuff I was ordering anyways. If Ulta keeps these coming regularly, I think it's a nice replacement to the previous 2 samples per order. I mean, yeah, I could have done without the Smashbox primer that came with the perfumes, but still...it's a small mystery bonus, and I appreciate them!

I definitely agree with you on that @RGbrown. I'm enjoying receiving sample packs with my Ulta orders, and it's definitely an upgrade from the previous 2 samples (or worse ... NO SAMPLES)!!!!

I soooo wish Sephora would just move to mystery packets too, instead of getting my hopes up with every order, only to have them crushed when I get my package 😥

YES @RGbrown! Why hasn't Sephora done this already?! They would save so much time and resources dealing with customer complaints if they just went to mystery packs where we can choose between Fragrance, Skincare, Hair, Makeup, or Variety.

I don't always complain about it because it happens so often, but I rarely get the samples I choose. I thought it would get better when they went from 3 samples to 2 samples, but I feel like it's gotten worse.

Yeah, I gave up complaining about it (officially to Sephora) ages ago...it does no good. The illusion that I get to pick my samples still makes me angry though. I'd be perfectly content with whatever they sent me if they moved to mystery samples, because I know out of the thousands of item they carry, the chances of me getting 2 or 3 I'd actually use are low, but at least I'd know that beforehand instead of opening a box only to be disappointed.

I had to go back and re-read the description @MelBeez, and apparently the samples were available if you bought a prestige product or hair care.

Pretty underwhelmed by what is on sale - nothing really catches my eye. Was just kind of hoping that the larger bottles of shampoo would be on sale as well. Maybe it will be still thanks for posting @ohheyitscindyk  :).

this just popped up a the gwp search: productId=xlsImpprod4660003

That gift is ANCIENT; even if I didn't know the text says it ends in 2012, a 7 digit xlsimpprod product ID indicates that listing has been on the site for years; before the current pimprod product ID's came up, xlsimpprod had rolled over from 7 to 8 digits several years ago.

Now, I dunno wtf Ulta IT did to bring that listing back up...but I seriously doubt it'll turn into a valid GWP
