Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

@donnainca I got 4x multiplier but no 20% coupon.  I guess I'll be ok as long as Sephora and Ulta keep having competing 20% off discounts.  😄

@donnainca  It's a pain, but since this is a general multiplier and everyone should have gotten it, customer service will apply the appropriate number of points if you call them and tell them you situation after the order is made.

I just want to throw this out there in case it's helpful info, and to ask if anyone else experiences this to please let me know.

I had stopped receiving emails and mailings and multlipliers (specific and general,) since last September.  

Three weeks ago I guess I spoke to the correct person, because she got me all the way fixed.

Until, that is, I made a return in store that was originally an online purchase.  This is the second or third time this has happened to me, and I really am starting to wonder if there is a connection.

The logical side of me agrees with what everyone is saying that there isn’t a correlation. The paranoid side of me conjures up all these possibilities after my own experience with Sephora’s return limit woke me up to a retail world that I had no idea existed. Here’s my conspiracy theory: maybe they randomly audit returns (could be luck of draw from random routine samples they take of their data) or patterns (like maybe a particular type of product being returned) and it’s computer driven by like a bot and when they go into your account and muck around in it to gather info they accidentally screw up the email functions (tech is very sensitive - hence why registers freeze/act up when it rains in older stores). One time last summer I had done too many weird transactions in a row like too many exchanges at once of 5 cheap drugstore chapsticks and I noticed suddenly the associates were having trouble accessing my account after that like it was semi frozen. Then about 2 weeks of my account acting weird but still usable, it suddenly went back to normal and has been that way ever since with regard to transaction history. BUT REALLY I think Ulta just has glitchy temperamental software because even to this day from one year ago they still can’t fix this bug on my account where they merged my addresses (I had moved several times) and my address on file is still problematic (something so simple still doesn’t have a permanent fix). I still believe they don’t monitor returns and accounts on the scale that Sephora does though. I do prefer them personally because they’re more straightforward perhaps a little rough around the edges or loud in a way whereas Sephora speaks softly but carries a big stick. Pardon my rambles.

@yuline   I can see both of the points you made.  I do think it's possible they monitor accounts because they must have some sort of system that determines who gets which coupons or multipliers.  I think there may be something between a particular store's functions and that of the online functions that do not mesh somehow.  I guess we'll never really know.

@Ispend2much6 I really don’t think so as I make returns if online purchase where I can’t see colors etc and they don’t work out. And I still receive all the info :).

@Ispend2much6 I have purchased things online and returned in-store, and my email situation has remained the same.  I haven't noticed a correlation between in-store returns and being bumped off the ulta email list.

I also want to add that I've also returned items, but still get the emails and some multipliers. You could try changing the email address they have on file, it had worked for me.

@donnainca   Thanks for the suggestion.  Ulta did that for me, and I did for myself, and it worked about two times then stopped.  It's so weird.

@CAcay I have had that happen before. It made me so mad as they constantly have GWPs so I would have saved the order for the next one. You can try calling to see if they can substitute. I had no luck last time but the guy wasn’t as friendly as CS normally is.
