Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

Part of the difference in the timing of things getting out early is the media through which it is distributed. 10x Day is an online only event, with no printed materials. All advertising for it will come solely from Ulta's site. 21 Days, on the other hand, involves a print ad, and while I'm sure there is some sort of confidentiality clause for the printer, there are a lot of hands outside of Ulta touching the ad, giving more chances for leaks. All in all, I wouldn't take it as a bad sign that 21 Days info leaked before 10x...it's to be expected when it's more than just Ulta's internal advertising dept involved.
Hey just noticed you’re now a complete boss, @RGbrown😄 Congrats!!!!🎉

Thanks so much! 💜
@missdarcy Ulta's Diamond/Platinum Appreciation Day is scheduled for next Monday, August 27th. I follow beautybudgetcollection on IG and she posted the info to her insta-stories last Thursday. She told me that she's going to hold off on doing an actual post until she knows more about the event. Like what brands are going to be included, if they'll also offer a $30 gwp beauty bag, etc.
There are a few good things. 💖
Thanks for posting @ClassicallyFab! I think I might pick up the TF Chocolate Bar palette, and stock up on FAB Face Cleanser and Lancome CILS Booster.
Thank you for posting, @ClassicallyFab! I see the TF palette, that has been on sale, but everyone has run out before I could get it. So that is definitely a maybe 🙂
I am more interested in skincare, and I am seeing some in this ad! Will be interesting to see the details and prices, once all the information comes out. And like @RGbrown said, I am looking forward to seeing Platinum perks as well.
@Anonymous If your Ulta store is out of the TF palette, they should be able to order it online for you and ship it for free 🙂
I see a few things I'm interested in too. I need to go check out the IT Brushes and see if I want more. I've only got a few, but love the ones I have. I also keep telling myself I'll just stop buying Clarisonic brush heads since they're so expensive, but I'll probably cave and get more since they seem to be one of the Old Faithful recurring deals lol.
Can't wait to see the online only deals and Platinum Perks too...there are usually some nice ones!

Best I can tell from the blowup on bff's IG shot, it looks like the Velvet Luxe collection.
I have a foreo and a Clarisonic lol, but one is by the sink and the other in the shower. Perhaps I keep feeding my lazy need for convenience by buying more heads. I do really really like the Foreo though. 🤔
Perhaps I should have groused about the lack of multipliers earlier 😋 And now I need to talk myself out of more lip oils with 8.5x back 😂
The men's bags are gone. $75 bag still available though.

BTW, I wanted to mention something about the size of the Clarins, but keep forgetting. Ulta's site and Clarins direct both say 0.1oz, but the box says 7mL/0.1oz. Considering 7mL is more like 0.23oz, I'm a little confused myself, but I think 7mL is the correct size.
This all dawned on me when I bought a travel set of 2 minis for $27/$28 bucks from them direct...the size said each was 0.09, and I thought I was getting a screaming good deal with two tubes just a hair smaller than a full size one for basically the price of one. Boy was I shocked when they came in.
Turns out the travels are 2.8mL vs the full size at 7mL. 😒 I should have known it was too good to be true, but I was just so excited lol.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm so glad you caught the discrepancy in size and that the Clarins lip oil is the same size as Ulta's. Those really are tiny lip oils! I would have been so disappointed then promptly used them both all up within a few days. :-))
The $75 bag is back, if you're chomping at the bit to make a purchase today but need a tad more prodding 😋

And everyone else with issues, does a picture tutorial help? Instructions are in the OP, but folks still seem to have trouble. Try this.
1. Pick an item, any item, on Ulta's site. I happen to have used Burt's Bees grapefruit wipes here, but the starting point is relatively unimportant.
2. Highlight the address bar. The end of the URL will look like this. Note that there may be more to the address after the Product ID number, but it is totally 100% irrelevant and can be deleted. What you are looking for here is "productID=xlslmpprod" followed by 7 or 8 numbers.
3. Replace those 7 or 8 numbers with the product ID for the item you wish to find. You don't have to worry about the product name or anything else, even though this looks odd right now. Changing the product ID will take care of it.
4. Once you've changed the Product ID, hit enter. The item you want should come up.
I've only seen this not work on two gwps out of dozens, maybe even a hundred or more over the last year. It's not hard and takes no more than a few seconds once you know what you are looking for. I hope this helps some folks, but let me know if something is still unclear. 😊
