Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

Stila (stay all day), L'Oreal Infallible Lippies, Lipstick Queen, and Maybelline lippies. I bought a lipstick queen lippie early this morning and it stacked.
I know this isn't an Ulta gwp but you ladies are always so helpful I wanted to share! No purchase necessary. Just a free mascara sample from Urban Decay!! 😄 while quantities last.
@RandeeJ9 Thanks for this!!! I saw the description says its sex-proof, lol! Intriguing
Has anybody gotten this to work? I type in my email address, hit the continue button, then....nothing. I've tried using three different browsers.
@stillpooh It was doing that to me earlier, then eventually it worked (after 30 minutes, or so).
Just a heads up, Ulta's 21 Days of beauty starts September 3rd! 🤗
It's too hopeful to think that the Naked Heat palette will be a part of this sale, right? 😛
I'm currently debating on buying it today for 10X.
I'm thinking that's a reach 😞 I say get it now, redeem points later ! 😂👌🏼
Haha, yeah, I def think that's too hopeful @myumew. Get it today so it can partially pay for itself with points. It's really beautiful.
Wait, did Ulta change its Platinum Appreciation Day offer partway through the day? Because this morning, Nars and OPI and Skinfood were all included, and now I'm not seeing them on the official page.
Pretty sure someone at ulta goofed...the page has now reverted to last year's date and offers. I'd imagine it'll get fixed shortly, but be sure to follow the list posted below in the mean time.
Thanks @RGbrown. It's nothing special but at least it was free. lol
The Ulta $30 buy in bag is working with purchases less than $30. I think the smaller GWP are counting towards the $30 buy in.
I'm getting a message saying 'We're out of stock of this crazy popular item' on th variety bag. What's the likelihood of them getting more?
Not sure whether to push my order through.
I'd say it's pretty unlikely...I've never noticed a gwp bag coming back in stock with ulta. The notable exception lately has been the missylynn bag, but that was gone for several days before showing back up, it wasn't a "come and go" type of thing where you had to stalk it.
Don't forget to use the $3.50 off coupon if you all get $15+ of non-prestige stuff! I got a 5-pack of Body Shop tea tree oils (5 little .33 oz bottles) for 19.99 on sale, and $3.50 more off, so that is nearly 50% off, plus 10x points because Body Shop was included. Such a good deal.
Also on sale, only 5x points, but coupon applicable: some Aquaphor things, and a Cetaphil makeup remover with great ratings.
One other 10x points sale item I noticed, coupon applicable: a Soap and Glory mini-set with a body butter and lip gloss, for $7.50.
It could happen, but the bag I see from my order last year was not a big one, it was only "priced" at $25...
So I went back and read notcreative's blog posts from around this time last year. They launched a new, bigger beauty bag gift with $60 purchase, 2 days after this 10x point event. Maybe that is what is ringing a bell for me, and you.
So the bag that is currently available (still in stock when I ordered anyway) is probably it. I think our orders ship free with no minimum, if you want you could hold off ordering some things you think won't run out of stock, until later in the day, just to wait and see. But go ahead and order anything you think might sell out.
