Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Do you have a friend or family member you can trust to ship stuff to and pick up from them? If so, a new account in their name/address might work, and always pay with a gift card instead of a credit card. Just a thought.

Yes, points work with gift cards.

As for where to buy them, anywhere that sells them is fine. I typically pick them up at a discount from sites like raise dot com or giftcardzen dot com. Saves a few more dollars that way! But they should also be available at most any retailer that has a decent selection of cards for sale...grocery store, target, CVS, etc.

WOW.. you've got some skills in doing coupons and savings!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your knowledge. Love savings like this! Is it okay to use a few in 1 transactions for the gift card. I will try to buy from the sites. I'm such a newbie to these coupons 😄

Ulta only allows 1 gc per transaction online, unfortunately. Get as close as you can to finishing it off, then just spend the rest in store.

Sephora allows 2 gc per transaction online, so you have a little more leeway to finish off small balances.

@Ispend2much6 Yes! It's already live - you should see the offer in your bonus offers section like you said. They might not calculate at checkout immediately (I remember it took a few hours for them to show up at checkout last year), but Ulta should still give you the points once your order ships.

For the members that received the 5X LIP multiplier,  

For what I see in the list...

LIPSTICK QUEEN, STILA STAY ALL DAY COLLECTION, L'OREAL INFALLIBLE COLLECTION and MAYBELLINE should net you 14.25 points (5+10+1.25-2, because base points don't duplicate)

MAC, DOSE OF COLORS, SMASHBOX, L'OREAL, REVLON and ELF should net you 9.25 points (5+5+1.25-2).

Mac has a GWP with any purchase, and Smashbox has a GWP w/$35.

We should test this deal when multipliers go live to make sure it works.

I used to get really excited about the 10x event, but now I don't see much point. I'm racking up an average of 500 points each month from my Ultamate MasterCard. I'd rather buy these products during a 20% off sale. Plus 21 Days of Beauty should be coming in a few weeks, and I always spend way too much then!
