Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Glad it worked out for you! I have to call back today bc I had the same problem with the CS rep I called yesterday - she had no idea about the issue, told me the SG bag was invalid so she couldn't refund, and told me my order hadn't shipped yet (even though I saw movement in he UPS app)....
Or write them an email??
I received the shipping email around 3:00 pm EST, and I called them at 11:00 pm EST, so I guess you need to wait a little bit??
By the way, I feel like a lot of the CS reps have no idea about this SG bag. So I just told the lady my order number and pointed out I've been charged for a free bag, then she put me on a 1 min hold and tole me she issued the refund for me~

Yes, I had a similar experience with the CS rep telling me that the bag had probably gone out of stock and that was why I was charged! I tried to explain that it definitely was in stock and that the order had already shipped with the gwp but then I realized that was a waste of time and was just like "can I give you the order number?" and it was fast from there. So different though from the really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly guy I spoke to on Sunday!
@Anonymous So true! Like if the bag were oos, I would want a refund even more!

@Tamara76Glad you got someone helpful and the refund is sorted! Ulta's CS is so variable that I'm learning that sometimes you just have to keep trying until you speak to someone who knows what's going on!
I got the shipping notice yesterday - which shows both bags- but when I checked this am, the refund hadn't been applied. I called cs and it took a few minutes, but they are processing the $145 refund (neither bag was showing free for me when I placed my order). I forgot to ask them to refund the tax I paid though which is $11... Debating on whether to call back about the tax- I feel like I'm being petty or something..
I too think I'll be experiencing this issue. I did ask if I was going to get the tax refunded, but then the CS over the phone was like "let me do the calculations for NY at 8.xx%" and then he said something about $76.xx being refunded...I don't know what kind of calculator he has. Should've been about 6 dollars.
Now that I've researched it, Ulta has had many past issues of not refunding sales tax. I've never bothered to check closely at my online purchase/instore returns 😕

Well, I did plan to ask them to refund the tax, but I was super excited that she helped me out this fast,,,,,,,,so I forgot it!
But it's like $5......Maybe send them a email??? (Ahhh, it's right to get the tax back...but why I'm feeling this much.....complicated!!)
you should call them about the tax! imagine all the fries you could buy with $11! its not petty...you shouldn't be paying tax on something that should have been free.

Yep, the item shows "coming soon", and the description section states "offer valid 1/12/17-1/17/17 or while supplies last".

Jumped online real quick during my break at work and saw this - I was told I would get refunded after it shipped so now I'm a bit worried. I have seen where others have gotten theirs adjusted, but I wasn't 100% stoked on my CS rep. I really don't want to be charged $75 for that bag 😞
I was worried too, just had a reply to today's FB message and they are refunding it and apologized for the hassle. Try messaging them on Facebook - quick and easy!
Now the Sona bag says 'Coming Soon'.
I have had it in my cart since yesterday, and now when I try to checkout, it says, 'Please Enter a Quantity Between 1 and 70' and it won't go through! The skincare bag is nice, but we wanna stack them GWPs!
update on the GWP refund : I had placed an order with the GP bag yesterday morning after being offered a refund post shipping. My order shipped yesterday evening and i received an email confirming the refund this morning without having to call back again!
Just wanted to share my positive Ulta free bag experience.
I posted yesterday that I called CS and was given a reference number for the refund. This morning I saw that my order including both bags had shipped so I called and again very quickly was given the $75 refund. I did spend an extra minute asking for my 6% tax refund and that was given as a separate refund but that's ok with me!

Okay so I bet you guys are sick of seeing me post but like....Ulta is on my last nerve.
I posted last night that I won a gift card from the instant win game, and I went to use it just now...and it says it has a balance of $0!
I don't even know what to say. This is the first time I've tried using it. And it's empty.
That's a bummer. Maybe it's taking awhile for the card to load? Hopefully it resolves itself for you and dena.
