Samples that made you buy the product

Hi Everyone,

I love samples and make a lot of full sized purchases based on them. I’m curious to know what samples others have loved so much that it encouraged them to buy the product?

Thanks @greeneyedgirl107! That’s too bad you don’t get the samples you requested. Hopefully if they see how many products are purchased based on samples, the accuracy will improve.

That's a good point @Lucki1!  Let's see, I guess samples that I wish Sephora had right now would be DE C-Firma, Ouai Wave Spray, Origins Charcoal Mask, Olaplex, Peace Out Pore Treatment Strips, IGK Smoothing Wipes, Ouai Anti-Frizz Hair Sheets, Ouai Memory Mist, Kopair Coconut Sheer Oil.  Can you tell I just went through my loves list?  I think the problem is that a lot of these products would need to come in larger sizes than the typical three-free samples.  When there's a special promo code, I usually need it to coincide with my usual shopping or else I don't take advantage of it.  Ah, the complexities of shopping!

@greeneyedgirl107 I totally know what you mean about the shopping. I need a good % from Ebates for a product I needed anyways along with a good promo code and good sample selection lol. I actually lucked out this weekend with the “spend $75 and get 5 samples” promo. Even with the higher buy in, the items I needed added up to be enough and I got some great deluxe sized samples. One of the samples was the Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme and so far I’m loving it! I would never have tried it otherwise.

@fieldsofclover I wish Canada had the Play boxes. It sounds like a fun way to try samples each month. I’m glad to hear you’ve had such good luck with finding ones you love.

@Lucki1 About half of these have been Sephora GWP/promos over the last year or so, so that's still a viable route without Play. I know we don't always get the same promo options but sometimes the Canadian ones look more luxe!
