I WILL NEVER SHOP SEPHORA AGAIN

I have shopped with Sephora for years & on 8/31/17 ordered a T3 hairdryer & another item.  I checked on the ordered earlier this week to see when it would arrive - I received a confirmation email it was shipped.  It arrived today without the hairdryer & when I used the live chat feature to find out why I was informed it was out of stock. And that was it. No hairdryer - no replacement - no communication until I had to follow-up.  This is beyond frustrating & I won't be spending my money with this company again. I hope everyone who sees this will do the same.

I don't know why I have wasted the past decade buying from Sephora, especially since i can get everything i need from other beauty retailers. I would spend an average of $2500 a year at Sephora. Still, each year I would have to spend $$$ to keep my so called "status" with them. WHY?! You are then sucked into buying products you don't need. And the incessant emails and pressure to BUY! BUY! BUY! All this to rack up some measly points which you are then hassled to redeem every week, or on your B-day for sad sample sizes of some 'rewards' which Sephora gets FREE from vendors! Yes..FREE. Its just a vicious cycle. So, I finally made decision to walk away from Sephora. Their customer service is good however. No issues there. BUT! Why walk into a sephora when ALL of the products i need are available directly from the vendors on-line as well as Nordstrom, Holts, The Bay, and Shoppers (You actually earn points at Shoppers that you can redeem for cash OR groceries!)  No way, Sephora you will never get another cent of my hard earned $$$ ever again.

The out of stock option has been a problem for many of us and they don't alert you until about 2 days later after you have placed an order. Although this is frustrating, I have no issues with sephora's customer service and they have been very helpful. One time I contacted them regarding something I ordered that was out of stock and the money was back in my account that day. Still didn't help with getting the product I needed, but I still had money to try to buy it elsewhere or wait for the restock. You can also set up restock email notifications. I'm sorry you didn't get your hair dryer. I know that must be very frustrating. I feel your pain

what really I'm so surprised to hear this Sephora is usually so good when it comes to resolving any issues I had a similar experience with the elusive Naked Vault last year and I had called and got no resolution or help so I sent an email because I was so upset and they actually found me a Vault even though they were unavailable anywhere and I could not believe it when it arrived I was so happy I cried yes I love Make up that much! LoL so sometimes a little effort on your end gets great results if u show them u are a serious customer they are a pretty great company and will be sure to do what they can don't just give up on them u will be the one missing out on one of if not the best High End Make up Shop out!! Love u Sephora!!!!

@JeniferJuniper There are only other shoppers responding on the live chat and they cant help you with it. You may want to contact Sephora Customer service through email or phone. The other option is to post this thread in Customer Service category instead of Savvy Shoppers and one of the MODs will look into it for you.

Oh no I'm sorry that happened. Yeah that's not right, they should have called you.
