Gift recommendations for teen new to makeup

Hey so I am an aunty/older cousin and I myself am not great at makeup. I do the typical concealer mascara lipgloss look. But I have a younger cousin who is turning 13! She is so big now and it makes me want to cry. She’s getting into makeup and I want to embrace her entering into almost womanly hood. What gifts are recommended for that age group. I’m on tik tok so I know rare beauty and dry elephant are in but what else will she be exited to receive? Thank you !

I love that you are auntie/ cousin who is interested in gifting your 13 year old cousin I think you should try the gift sets that they have they're really good ones depending on the budget that you're trying to spend really just depends on that but you can look up in Sephora like gift sets specifically the one that I really really like is it has a bunch of cool stuff it's the Sephora favorites basket and there's also the glow recipe Littles sets a lot of different sets from glow recipe if you're really wanting skin care for more makeup you can look up makeup sets and there's a lot of nice ones depending on if she wants you like the lips sets from Charlotte pillberry or just whatever she wants you can just look up on Sephora the sets or if you just want to buy her one product you could try the rare Beauty blush or the highlighter I think that's a good way to go and they do have the mini ones that are for $14 and those are really nice there's a lot of different things you can find out there you kind of just got to go online and look so give it a try girl you go get it! in terms of skincare i would be careful about which products to purchase for her since she is so young. lots of products, including drunk elephant, contain ingredients like retinol, aha + bha, niaciamide, any sort of chemical exfoliant, anything including parabens or fragrance, that can be harmful to youth/children’s skin. i would also avoid benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid unless she has an issue with acne. i would stick with a very gentle cleanser, a basic and gentle moisturizer, and a sunscreen. skincare that is listed as clean at sephora and is specifically for sensitive skin, and doesn’t contain harsh ingredients would be the best bet. even better if you can find something made for kids. the Glow Recipe Avocado Cleanser is good and the watermelon glow pink juice moisturizer, but Glow Recipe definitely has products not safe for kids so stay away from everything else except the sunscreen. Evereden has a line of skincare specifically for kids which would also be more suitable for a young teen. hope this helps!
