What is involved in a subscription?

I have not subscribed to this before, what all happens here?

It’s was a really great deal especially if you like skincare but they canceled all subscriptions. I don’t know if it was due to COVID or just not enough subscribers? I loved it and had it for over a year, I’m gonna miss it! I’ve been on the hunt for a monthly subscription like this especially for that price but I haven’t had any success yet. I’m heartbroken! Oh well....
