How do you open the Black Opium sample?

I know it's silly but in my play! box this month, I got a sample of YSL's BO, but it's in a container that I have no idea how to open or use, as they usually just come in a spray sample. I'm sure there's an easy solution that I'm just too silly to see. Thank you in advance!

Re: How do you open the Black Opium sample?

So what I did (bc I was afraid of it getting everywhere) was to take a tiny little nail from my partners toolbox and puncture the top. There's a perfect little spot for it and then I just leave the nail in to keep it closed. Then I can just pull the nail and dab a bit on. It's honestly super strong so this works perfectly for me. This tiny thing will probably last me a little bit

How do you open the Black Opium sample?

Yeah I cracked mine open and it got all over me. Thanks Sephora 😣

Re: How do you open the Black Opium sample?

I had same question! I cracked open and it will not close. Smells amazing but they really need to have a sprayer...seems like a good amount to have in sample but no way to put it on unless you want it all over you. image.jpg

Hi @KammiP @alibcya and @Pita01,

I believe if you completely remove the top piece, you can stick it back inside of the vial upside down, and this will close the vial. I saw another client post a video of this method on social media a few days ago, and I wish I could find it now! It could be worth a try, and I'm sorry for the confusion. I'll share this feedback, and I hope this helps. 🙂

Best regards,

Laurie

Crack it open. It says it will close, but really doesn’t. It goes everywhere so be careful, and try storing it where it stays standing up. Not sure why they invented such a thing, wasn’t a bright idea

I turned the lid upside down. seems to work well.

Thanks, that worked for me as well. Strange way to do it, but it works and it smells so good!

Thank you! I'll try that.
