greasy oily skin

So in the morning when i put my foundation on it looks flawless!! but as the day goes on my nose and face get extreamly greesy and oily. Its kind of embarissing. because people at school always ask why my face is so shiny.!And its even shiny and greasy in the winter when everyones skin is dry a crusty.  Is their anything that wont make my makeup sweat off, or just prevent my skin form being sooo oily. ? Becuase i dont know what to use.

Start off with anything with silica in it to reduce sebum. I went to Origins last week because with spring coming around I'm finding my Makeup Forever HD liquid foundation is leaving me oily in some spots. I bought the Origins Balanced Diet moisturizer which helps soak up the oil. I also use Lancome Dual Finish powder over my makeup to reduce oil.

In addition to primer, you may want to consider and oil-controling toner to keep your skin's oil from ruining the look of your foundation.

I agree with the other poster, you need to use an oil controlling primer, but you also need to avoid products with oil in them. Right now I am using the Murad Hybrids Primer in Matte and I like it a lot, plus it is made of natural/organic ingredients. Next you want to avoid oil based make-up for the face, go with water-based foundations and concealer, and then finish with a light dusting of a loose setting powder. One of the best concealers is MUFE HD Invisible Concealer, and for loose powder either MUFE HD Invisible Powder or Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. You will probably have to touch up once or twice through the day, but better than being overly shiny.

You need to use a good oil-controlling primer and setting powder.  I've also listed a good oil-controlling foundation, but if you already have a foundation that you love then the primer and powder should help enough that you can keep your regular foundation.

The best products that I have found to help stop my extreme oiliness is to apply an oil-controlling face primer such as Make Up For Ever All Mat Foundation Primer which you can read more about at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P169809&categoryId=B70   Another very good oil-controlling foundation primer is Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer which you can read all about at:  http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=RBWSFQGW0KMH2CV0KSKBPIQ?id=P231022&categoryId=B70

Make Up For Ever's All Mat + Mattifying Foundation is a great foundation for oily skin.  It's a shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation that you can read more about at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P177117&categoryId=B70

You can also use MUFE's "Foundation Shade-Finder" to help you choose the correct color for your skin tone which you can find at:  http://sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtml?brandId=MAKE%20UP%20FOR%20EVER&contentId=C19212

Also, I would recommend setting your foundation with Urban Decay’s De-Slick Mattifying Foundation Powder which is a colorless, shine-controlling powder that comes in a handy mirrored compact so you can carry it with you for touchups throughout the day.  You can find it at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P210592&categoryId=B70

I hope this helps you.  🙂
