Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

primers oh my!

RE: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

The Tatcha silk primer is great and I feel like it doesn’t clog my pores. I also really like the Too Faced Peach Perfect primer and it was super mattifying (even for me) so I can only use it in the summer!

I second the Tatcha primer! I like to use it around the nose area and to make my pores look smaller.

Hi @Dianita99 ,

I have been using the Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer 0.7 oz/ 20 gI apply that first and then apply translucent powder on top of that and then apply my foundation. This has been keeping my make up looking so good throughout the day! I barely have to touch up!

Best Wishes,

Janean

Really? Translucent powder under foundation! 😱😱 i had no idea u could do that? U just blew my mind!

RE: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

Becca ever matte poreless priming perfector, is the best!

RE: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

Awesome! Thanks! I need to try it

Thanks for sharing the love and for being a #BECCABeauty! xo

Re: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

I'll go a bit against the grain and say that the Tatcha didn't do much for me, @Dianita99. But I absolutely adore BECCA - Backlight Priming Filter Face Primer.

It's been incredible for helping my makeup go on smoothly and last throughout the day, while also not drying out my skin.

RE: Re: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

Ps. I wasn’t impressed by the tatcha either

RE: Re: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

Looks like Becca has great primers. I have used the purple one before. And i really liked it but it may have gotten lost in the shuffle. Time to revisit this brand! Thank you

We love hearing that and are thrilled to hear you love your BECCA - Backlight Priming Filter Face Primer! Thank you for being a #BECCABeauty! xo

@Dianita99

I second @skcfan  suggestion of the Tatcha Silk Canvas and want to add BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector

TOO FACED - Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer – Peaches and Cream Collection

Dr. Brandt Skincare pores no more® pore refiner primer 1 oz

All of these primers have worked well at keeping my oily skin matte for long periods of time but the most intense of them all has to be the Becca primer. You have to use a tiny bit and make sure to follow the directions to make sure it works properly.

RE: Re: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

I do absolutely LOVE the peachy too faced primer. It’s amazing! I have to revisit the dr Brandt Pores no more. Thanks for the reminder 😜👍🏼

Hi @Dianita99

I use Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer 0.7 oz/ 20 g

I had received it as gratis for participating on these boards, and loved it so much that I’ve repurchased!

RE: Re: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

You can get things for being an active poster? Really?

Re: RE: Re: Whats your absolute Holy-grail primer for oily skin ?

@Dianita99 You have to be chosen to get gratis.  Not everyone will get it. It does depend on how active and helpful you are on here.
