Fenty Beauty Blotting powder vs Laura Mercier

So I use the whole fenty collection but with the blotting powder I notice my face tends to get oily still; I just bought Laura mercier translucent powder and wonder do I need both? I hear some people use blotting powder before applying foundation and then set it? Are they the same ? I still may have to play around with it... 

another wuestion can you wash the little blotting pad it comes with ?

Blotting powder and setting powder are not the same, blotting is for when you get oily throughout the day and you don’t want a heavy powder you use the blotting instead. Laura mercier is a bit heavier than the Fenty blotting so that’s why it’s used to set your face. Hope this helps 🙂
