Combination Skin? Blemish? I need your help/advice! Product replacement?

Hi

If you have combination or oily type skin, blemish etc.. you are just the person I've been looking for. I need your help/advice!

I'm 30yr old and have a combination type of skin. I have tried all sorts of products to treat the blemish on my T-zone but never found anything that would show results consistenly.  I really like the Kinerase Clear Skin Treatment Serum. I don't know why I can't find it on the Sephora website anymore. This product works amazingly well. My problem is that this product is a bit expensive ($60 - $79) and I can't afford to buy it all the time. I've experimented all sorts of other products trying to find a replacement but never got the same results.  I can't afford experimenting new products all the time either.  Is that any product out there with similar formula, something that I can use and achieve the same results?

Thanks!Smiley Wink

You may want to try DERMAdoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated Acne Control Serum which is less expensive than the Kinerase product you were using and is very effective for most people.  It eliminates, clears, and prevents breakouts and helps speed healing by exfoliating pore-plugging debris, curbing bacteria, absorbing excess oils, helping to reduce hormonal influences upon skin, and soothing inflammation.  You can find it here:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P181705&categoryId=B70

I hope this helps you. 🙂

Unfortunately Sephora has stopped carrying Kinerase products.  You could try another salicylic acid serum like Bliss "No Zit Sherlock" Correcting Serum.

I am also 30 with combo acne prone skin and I can honestly tell you that I stopped having regular breakouts when I stopped using acne products on a regular basis.  Your skin is different at 30 than it is in your teens and not as resilient.  The acne products were actually irritating my skin and making the acne and oiliness worse.  I now only use acne treatments for the hormonal breakouts on my chin once a month.  I love the Korres Yoghurt Regimen and suggest you give it a try.  Hopefully it will balance out your combo skin and calm your breakouts like it did for me.  If you try it for a few weeks and don't see an improvement in your skin, you can always return it. Thanks Beauty Master! You said something really interesting my skin totally changed this past year and I should stop using acne products so frequently. And you're absolutely right all I want is balance. I didn;t made that clear on my post but that's all I want: BALANCE. Every other day my skin gets all blotchy, uneven, blemish, blackheads&clogged pores and even though I don't see many signs of aging yet I know that I look 10 years older just because of that. It's so bad when multiple people at work say that I look exhausted/tired/burned out. Nope, that's just my t-zone giving me hell. My skin is perfect on my cheecks and everywhere else but the t-zone.....
I'll check out your recommendations. Thanks for your advice Kalex, please let me know if there is anything else that might help me I really appreciate your advice.
