Post in Oily Skin

Best sunscreen for oily face?

What's the best non-comedogenic sunscreen for oily skin like mine?  I tried Boscia's Daily Hydration SFP 15 and didn't care for it.  I need something that sinks in fast and doesn't interfere with my primer and foundation application.

I have oily skin and I use Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral SPF 30 which works immediately to block out the sun's harmful UVA, UVB, and infrared rays to help prevent sunburn, skin damage, freckling, and discoloration.  The matte powder absorbs oil, helping to reduce shine and prevent future breakouts and it leaves a nice matte finish over your foundation.  I use it as the last step of my makeup application.  I apply my primer, moisturizer, foundation, setting powder, blush and then apply the PTR Sunscreen Powder over my entire face.  It's handy, too, because it comes with a self-contained brush so you can even carry it with you for touchups throughout the day if you start to get shiny.  You can read more about it at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P235909&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=3728

I hope this helps you. Smiley Happy

Definitely try clinique's city block! it's oil free and doesn't interfere with any other products you put over it.

It comes it a couple spf's (I use the spf 45) I used it all summer last year with no problem, and I have super oily skin.

I have oily skin too, I've been using a sample of Philosophy's Oil-Free Hope SPF 30. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a white cast.

Agree...the oil free Hope is really a nice product.

I would try PTR Clini-Matte All Day Oil Control SPF 20; it should not interfere with the rest of your makeup application, as it is sheer and absorbs instantly: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P266203&categoryId=C15861. You can also try Murad Oil Control Mattifier SPF 15, which protects and controls oil: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P227801&categoryId=B70, but its SPF is lower.
