Yesterday I attended the Bayview Village Sephora grand opening for Rouge clients.
Important PSA for all my Toronto ladies: The Pat McGrath Sublime, La Vie en Rose, and Subliminal palettes are $35 each at Bayview Village (they’re the ones that were on sale a few months ago and are OOS online). I’d say run for these!!
Ok moving on haha, I received an email invite last week and tried to RSVP within an hour of receipt, but it was full! Let's just say it was a long process trying to get in contact with the organizers and even get on the waitlist (I really wanted to attend the event - never been to a grand opening before!) I showed them my email invite at the door and the Sephora staff were kind enough to let me and my guest in This Rouge store-opening event was held the day before the official opening to the public, which I didn't attend so if any Toronto ladies went, comment below. Would be interesting to compare different grand opening activities.
When we walked in, there were ladies walking around with prosecco and kombucha drinks with cute little lip shaped candies on the rim! Needless to say, I drank quite a few as we shopped!
The store was having a great promo wherein purchasing a Sephora Collection LipStories lipstick would get you a free one from a selection of colours. They also had a lipstick wrapping station so we could customize our lippies with whatever photo we wanted. It was seriously so much fun to choose the shades with my friend, then pick out photos to decorate with! We both decided to each make one for ourselves and one to give as a gift (I mean perfect birthday idea!?!?!!) I ended up buying the SEPHORA COLLECTION - #LIPSTORIES - 38 Off-Limits (matte finish) and getting SEPHORA COLLECTION - #LIPSTORIES - 22 A Little Magic (matte finish) as a gift for a friend. Meghan, who helped us print and wrap our photos was super patient as we went through a few changes in photo placement on her screen before printing and finishing up. She mentioned she wrapped lippies at Sephoria last year too! Such a great idea - I can see this being a hit for everyone wanting something unique to remember Sephoria by.
There were LipStories cards with interpretations of what your lip shape, fullness, size, and lines say about you. My guest and I each tried on a lippie, put on our best pout, and smooched the card to match our lips with the descriptions. On the left, my guest wore the DIOR - Dior Addict Stellar Shine Lipstick - 595 Diorstellaire and I wore the TOM FORD - Lip Color Sheer - Paradiso Overall, I think the Sephora team did an amazing job making sure clients were assisted despite the large crowds and narrow aisles. Really glad I could attend this event!!
