Atelier Cologne Toronto Masterclass with Sylvie Ganter - March 2019

On Monday March 11 I had a wonderful experience with other BIC members, learning about the brand and how the perfumes are made. 

The event happened in a very "Parisienne" style tea shop, with Atelier products and fruits surround by. Sylvie was leading the event beginning with 5 citrus-based essential oils, she asked if they remind us of any memories or if they bring us to something special, I liked this approach a lot.

After all the names of the first 5 were revealed, we were giving another blotter papers to learn about the other oils that are being used along the citrus-based since they could fade so fast, just like when you peel your orange, it smells so good, so strong but gone away after probably half an hour. I was impressed by some like anise, vetiver, oud, and I remember Sylvie said Rose probably is a very mean flower her, as it's hard to control after being processed, I love rose though. Some ingredients come from specific place and you can only make the best oil from the fruits or flowers that grow in that place....

I learned so much and appreciate all the hard work that Sylvie and other perfumers would put in in order to give us such a scent. My favourite is Pacific Lime as I love Coconut, Lime and Eucalyptus. Oh, Atelier Cologne is 90% or more natural, that's why even after smelling like 20 different oils we still could tell the difference. 

During the event, we were served with tea and other bites, macaroons, fresh fruits, snacks. After the event we had chances to take pictures with Sylvie, and were escorted by Loreal - Atelier staffs who were super super friendly to Sephora, I ended up buying 2 sets and they were signed by Sylvie. FYI, when you buy a 100ml bottle of Atelier, they give you a real leather case with your initial on it, make the perfume a very personal treat for yourself or love ones

Thanks. I didn't try it but I think it's cupcake lol. I had few macaroons that day.
