Due to some technical glitches with the original Show Me Your Nails Thread, I am starting a new thread with @vegchililover78's blessing (She says "hello," by the way!).

Please share your nail looks, nail art and manicures!

Come through Opi x Wicked!!!  "Know Your Power"

Let's see how long they survive last 😂

ETA: one pop off so far, but to be fair, it wasn't flush against the nail, but it's back on

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@danielledanielle Stunning nails! 💚🖤 They really capture the Wicked vibe. I was lucky enough to see the musical this year.

This is a beautiful mani @ShibaMama! Love the French tips and checkered design on the accent nails. And, of course, loooove the red! 💅

Halloween stitches

💅  Orly Bonder as a base coat.

💅  I started off with a regular French mani, this time using one coat of Essie Sugar Daddy and one coat of DIOR Nail Glow Polish 0.3oz / 10 mL for my base color.

💅  Tips were done with OPI Funny Bunny (I find it's more milky and less bright than OPI Alpine White).

💅  I used Gucci 700 Crystal Black, a sticker for the curved line, and a striping nail art brush for the "stitches"

💅  Topped all but the accent nails with one coat each of the Dior Nail Glow and the Glisten & Glow Top Coat. Accent nails were topped with 2 coats of Glisten & Glow Top Coat

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@itsfi Wow! Such a beautiful festive french mani. Your nails look professionally done. I would love to know how you get the tips so perfect!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@Mellmars1185, ohhh, thank you; you're too kind. I use these nail stickers, a pair of tweezers and a nail art brush (this one is sometimes called a striping brush).

  • I apply the sticker so that the top of it is where I want the tip color to end - I use the tweezers to help with placement but moreso to press the sticker into the sides of the nail, to help the polish not bleed when applied.
  • Then I use the brush to go just over the top of the sticker, to shape the bottom end of the French tip. I also use the brush to pain the rest of the French tip - I found this to be really helpful becuase using the brush from the regular polish would often mean I applied too much or it was too thick and/or make a mess. This takes a little more time but it makes it easier to control the amount of polish.
  • Let dry
  • Use tweezers to remove/lift off the tape.

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@itsfi Thank you so much for sharing this! I used to use the Sally Hansen stickers with a regular nail polish brush (many years ago) and I had the same issues with the nail polish bleeding. I am inspired to try it out again! Where did you find the stickers?

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@itsfi - Your French mani is my dream French mani!!!  The stitches are great--I love that they're free hand!  This makes them look real rather than perfectly stitched (I hope that makes sense).

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

@Titian06, you do lovely French tips - and with stamping plates, too. 😍 I haven't been able to get the stamping plates to work for me since the first few times I tried them. 100% get what you mean - thank you!. I used stickers to help with the black line across the nail because they were just long enough to have a curve to them, but the stitches I wanted to do free hand - so they looked less perfect. The hardest part was trying to figure out how many of them to do; I feel like I could have done with a couple less stitches but it's fine.

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Gorgeous Mani! I love how you paired a beautifully done French mani with such creative and uniquely crafted stitching. This is so beautiful! Very creative! ❤️💅🎃 @itsfi

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

Thank you @peculiarzmakeup! I've been more into French tips this year - I feel like it may be due in large part to being able to grow out my nails longer. To extend their wear time, I do them at the beginning of the week or a Sunday night and then try to find a creative way to hide dings or chipped polish when they happen, I was just going to do stitches on my ring finger and then part of my polish on my middle fingernail chipped on the side, so I gave stitches to my middle fingernail. Hahaha!

Re: Show Me Your Nails 2.0

I love the Sunday before the week prep idea! They turned out great! I love the possibilities that come with doing nails! Great Halloween vibe to these! @itsfi
