Due to some technical glitches with the original Show Me Your Nails Thread, I am starting a new thread with @vegchililover78's blessing (She says "hello," by the way!).
Please share your nail looks, nail art and manicures!
...And don't forget to check out @Beadshopgirl's Nail Stamping Thread for stamping inspiration! ❤️

CG BPF is to gold stamping what Revlon Molten Magic is to silver stamping! I don't use it often, but it's great when I need it 😍
@RGbrown covid viruses!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Those nails are absolutely gorgeous!!! Such masterpieces! I am amazed! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@RGbrown I think the red and purple look beau together! Happy Valentine's Day! ❤💜
Thanks so much! I looove a good red and purple mix ❤️💜
A little summer lovin' from my neglected polishes ⛱️
Ulta Showgirl is a bright coral pink. Easy application, a touch on the crelly side so it took three coats for full opacity, but it wasn't grouchy about it. Smells like...is that a touch of gasoline though? Stink stank stunk 🤨
OPI Rydell Forever is a "leather texture" white, and for a white, the application was incredibly easy, two coats was good! Sadly, the leather texture never really popped up, it just got a little bumpy in an unattractive way. Top coat smoothed out some of that, but not all, but it would make a great base for art where you're adding more layers anyways.
Fanchromatic Nails Mathematical! was a gift from a very sweet friend 💖 This is a teal to clear thermal, a crelly formula that never quite makes it to full opacity, loaded with pink, red, yellow, blue and purple glitters in all sorts of sizes and shapes, and it's a fun pop of color to brighten the winter's cold. It's layered over white on my ring finger (2 coats), and on a bare nail on my thumb (3 coats). It wasn't fussy to apply, though the first coat was so sheer it was hard to tell if I'd gotten a clean line by my cuticles 😋
Teal when cold
Turns out it's not quite clear when hot, it's got a bit of a tea stained look over the white. If wanting to put this over a base again, a soft nude might be a better choice.
@RGbrown Leather textured nail polish? How have I not heard of this before. 2 coats for a white is amazing. I feel I normally end up with 4-5. I always grab the more clear whites. I need to be better at choosing my colours!! Did showgirl get tossed? Shame it’s a beautiful colour!
Showgirl got stuck back in my stash for now, but if I ever do a declutter, it'll likely hit the chopping block...as many polishes as I have, I've probably got several that are close enough in color to count, maybe even a straight up dupe or two. For now though, I'm just rolling with keeping most everything, I mean, it's not like I'm gonna toss out enough to make an actual dent in my total anytime soon, so updating my list for just one or two tossed polishes seems like more trouble than it's worth lol. I am looking forward to one day building some shelves that'll hold everything all in one place, and allow me a better look at what I have side by side instead of having to dig through multiple boxes like I am now, so I can maybe work on a slightly larger cleanout in the future, weed out some dupes and "meh, whatever" shades.
This was LE from the OPI Grease collection...reviews weren't stellar from what I recall, but I have to say, it's pretty dang nice for a white! This one (if you don't mind dealing with/covering up random bits of texture) or Morgan Taylor Arctic Freeze are my opaque white recommendations 🙂
Fuuuun mani @RGbrown! We had a few days of a heat spell (very much out of character this time of the year) and then today it was cold again so summer sounds good to me - love these combo of polishes - you have such a good eye for putting polishes together. 😍
That's too bad about the OPI Rydell Forever texture not coming through - I'm not sure I've seen a leather texture polish before. While we’re on the topic of white polishes, are there any you recommend for either a base color or just by itself? I'm not super happy with the few whites in my collection.
We've had some nice days lately as well...I am jonesing for that trend to hang around a bit longer! 😎
OPI did 3 leather polishes with their Grease collection a few years back, there was a black, a white, and a bubblegum pink. The pink and white were disappointing texture wise and never really popped for me, but the black was pretty dang cool...digging way back a bit, here it is https://community.sephora.com/t5/Nailed-It/Show-Me-Your-Nails-2-0/m-p/5896961/highlight/true#M16538
White, I like MT Arctic Freeze best. It's not as perfect as many of their other polishes are, but it's still the least fussy, easiest-for-a-white-polish I've ever used. Runner up, seriously no joke, this one here, OPI Rydell Forever. It was gosh darned easy for a white.
PolishPick has all three Grease leather polishes in stock...not sure they were ever huge sellers, but the black and white are worth grabbing (especially at $2).
Ahhh! 😍 Thank you for the link @RGbrown (and for looking through the past posts to find it)! Tagging @ather because she may
be interested in seeing the leather texture.
Oooh, PolishPick! I had a cart started and then got sidetracked. That's a great deal on those leather texture polishes. That cart keeps getting bigger... 😂
@RGbrown Wow! Another masterpiece! I can see why your nail polish collection is so huge: they are all amazing! That thermal color changing one is so special! I didn’t know that even existed! I am learning so much about nail polish (and creativity) from you! Thank you!
I like to think I buy nice polishes...I just buy waaayyy too many of them 😂
Thermals are so much fun! Sadly, the thermal properties won't last forever, eventually it'll get stuck in one shade and quit shifting anymore (I've read it's usually somewhere between one and two years, so you still get a decent amount of time to enjoy them...you just may not want to go overboard with buying a ton all at once). Heck, I need to check my oldest one, I think it's nearing two years old now 🤔 @Mellmars1185 too for thermal info!
