Had planned on doing a different variant of the matte/shiny French tip mani (a project still in the works), but opted at the last minute to go for a topper instead. 

Earlier in the week, my nails were painted one color, essie Angora Cardi, a deep, dusty plummy-rose that I love year round, but especially in the fall and winter months. Two layers between a coat each of Deborah Lippmann All About That Base CC Base Coat and Glisten & Glow Top Coat. 

Last night, I applied one coat of Colores De Carol Nova Too Bright To Handle. The photos are before applying another coat of Glisten & Glow Top Coat.

Awww, thank you! I might.... But maybe buried deeeep in my collection somewhere...? Do you have some tips on how you organize your nail polish collection @itsfi ? I think it also doesnt help that all gel polishes come in non-clear bottles... sigh.

@itsfi  This Essie colour is beautiful! I can see why you love it year round! There is something about a shade that just seems fall or winter! I love the sparkling topper! Adds a nice touch to the solid colour!

@ather, love a good topper. It can transform a polish into a different look and feel. There was a time a few years back where I planned to whittle down my polish collection and add more toppers. I mean, I added more toppers … and more polishes. 🙄 Right now, I’m just holding the line when it comes to polish, topper or otherwise, unless something really catches my eye. I have a host of polishes and other nail goodies to work through / play with to keep me from getting too distracted. 🤞🏼

The topper is so cute, @itsfi!  I love how using a topper can completely alter a mani and I'd probably use them more often but I hate how difficult some of them are to remove 🙄.

Thank  you @peculiarzmakeup! That's one of my favorite toppers and essie angora cardi is one I reach for at least once every year! This is the first time I've put these two together, but I can see myself doing this pairing again.
