Due to some technical glitches with the original Show Me Your Nails Thread, I am starting a new thread with @vegchililover78's blessing (She says "hello," by the way!).
Please share your nail looks, nail art and manicures!
...And don't forget to check out @Beadshopgirl's Nail Stamping Thread for stamping inspiration! β€οΈ

@ather, essie ballet slippers is a pretty polish too. It leans slightly more white than I prefer for a milky mani, but as I'm thinking about it, I wonder if I should try essie mademoiselle (and possily also ballet slippers) under a flesh/beige toned base color (sometime like Deborah Lippmann All About That Base - CC Nail Treatment Base Coat or butter London Nail Foundation Priming Basecoat) and then one, possibly two layers of the essie polish. π€ I'll make a note to try that the next time I go for a milky nail look.
These did last all through my vacation. I ended up removing them the night before the flight back. They would have lasted the day of leg one of our flight back and would probably have lasted that next day,too - we missed our connecting flight because of delays with the first one so we stayed at the airport hotel and took a flight out the next day.
@itsfi Wow! Thatβs amazing it lasted that long!! Too bad your nails didnβt make it all the way.
Beautiful mani! It turned out so nicely, I love the idea of having a vision for nail looks and how to become familiar with whatβs in the stash, it looks very pretty @itsfi π
@peculiarzmakeup, thank you. I go back and forth between having ideas in mind for my mani's to just going with what I'm in the mood for when I sit down to do them to picking out a polish at random and going from there. π Over the last 5 years, I've enjoyed mixing it up and trying new looks.
@itsfi this is so pretty and clean on you! My favorite look. I love seeing the nail creations you all do. Did you ever try the Londontown Illuminating milky white or pink in combos with these? Donβt recall. It kind of gives that look too I think? Iβm sure you have. π Safe travels!
@Sunnysmom, thank you. I received a set of the Londontown illuminating nail concealers and have a couple I purchased myself. For me, I find that, like this essie at 3 coats, they give more color on me when layered, but one coat is slightly too sheer for my preference. For a clean look, my go to's are Deborah Lippmann Iconic Treatment-enriched Nail Polish Naked or 1 or 2 light layers of OPI Baby, Take A Vow.
@itsfi That's so pretty. I really do like Essie's polishes - the wear is better than most brands for me. I hope you can get home soon without any trouble. I just experienced a great deal of flight delays/cancellations, so I feel for you!
@PrettyPaint, thank you! I do really like Essie polishes too. I have a few pops of color but many of my Essie polishes are on the sheerer, neutral side. β₯οΈ
Oh goodness, Iβm so sorry about the cancellations and delays. I hope you were able to get to where you needed to be without too much stress or trouble.
@itsfi Just barely made it to the destination, but there were about two extra days of travel!!!
Oh no @PrettyPaint! I'm glad you made it to your destination but the extra days you don't plan for to get to and from there ... sigh.
This color always looks wonderful on you, @itsfi ! πππ I hope you had a nice vacation!
@Titian06, thank you. Iβve been trying to find a few new ways to shop my stash (and possibly do some decluttering along the way). It was a good vacation; thank you. π Something I needed more than I thought I did, though I am very happy to be back at home. π‘
Ahhh lovely nails @itsfi it reminds me of the pretty glazed doughnut trend. π€β¨
I hope the rest of your flights go smoothly. Safe travels!
@CynthieLu, there are some similarity in that they first got started with a white base but as I understand it the finishes are different, with the glazed donut nail trend having more of a metallic or chrome finish and milky nails having more of perhaps a creamy or milky finish. π πΌ
Oooh those details are important π @itsfi thank you for that. Now that you've said it, I can picture the nails of that style having a more metallic sheen to them. I enjoy both styles but I appreciate hearing about the specifics. π
@itsfi I love this pretty, soft and subtle mani! This shade looks lovely on you! I usually prefer opaque polish on myself, but this looks so good that I might have to try something like this sometime.
Thank you @caitbird! I feel like I just need to find the right shade for my skin tone when it comes to this milky nail look, π πΌ Going to try to keep that to mean shopping my stash and not buying new polish. π
@itsfi ah, I can see how finding the right shade could be tricky. But at least it could be fun to go through the possibilities in your stash to see which one works best - for science! π
Omg!!! Those are awsome. What nail polish did you use
Slayyyy
Another vacay Mani for a little fun at the beach ποΈπ©΅
This is Lynn B Designs in Blue Raspberry ( I think .. I don't have the bottle with me ATM, I'll edit later if I'm incorrect. It might have a more pun-y name π)
I love these type of pastel colors, they feel so bright and cheery. π₯°
