OMGosh, @RGbrown !  This looks like so much fun! 😍  I love the colors third from the left and third from the right.  Maybe if I make a dent in my "still to be worn" polishes, I might give something like this a try. 😄

Thanks so much! I'm kinda mad at myself over the reddish one, I put some blue reflective glitter in it for some reason (whyyyyy?) and it just looks weird IRL. I wasn't following a recipe for that one, just trying to wing it, and proved to myself that that's a bad idea for me lol 🤭 That third from the left is divine though, I'm ordering more of that pigment so I can play with it more, and one or two similar ones with slightly different shifts. A ton of the polishes I'm lusting after lately use pigments like this, so that one might actually save me from at least a couple of bottles in the future!

I've about decided I'll never make a dent in my untrieds, so apparently I just need to go ahead and pile on scads of homemade ones too lol. After three more today, I'm up to 11 now, and still have more supplies on hand (and I'm trying to whittle down my DRK cart, but I've about hit my limit on stuff I'm willing to toss out of it). Ahhhhhh! 

If you decide to browse, DRKnails dot com will be open til the 10th (they're open for a few days once a month), and they've got a few premade kits! You'll need bottles as well, and extra mixing cups and funnels are handy as well.

My Fourth of July Nails 

Saw a fireworks mani in an article on Pinterest and I thought I'd give it a try. My nails are on the shorter side again (they got pretty banged up with all the prep work for home improvements) so I only attempted fireworks on one side of my accent nail. 🎆

Red - SEPHORA COLLECTION Color Hit Mini Nail Polish L43 It Girl, a classic red creme, 2 coats

White - Essie Lace to the Altar, sheer ivory with an iridescent pearly finish, 3 coats

Blue - Essie Front Page Worthy, a shimmery cobalt blue, 2 coats

Silver - DND Fairy Wings 464, a clear base with tons of silvery glitter

Base coat - NAILS INC. NAILKALE - Superfood Base Coat 

Top Coat - Glisten & Glow

@itsfi When I initially discovered it I thought it was the best. I liked the consistency, the brush and how it looks once applied. Since I finished the bottle, I tried a few. I also like the Essie Here to Stay base coat.

Thank you @RGbrown! There are so many great ideas for and inspiration for nail art out there. I find it all too easy to fall down that rabbit hole and then before I know it, I have to get working on the mani and have to pick something to work on. I need to start a list of nail art ideas so I can keep track of them - on the one hand, I'm all on board with another list (yaaay lists!! 😁) On the other hand, I'm thinking, "great, another list that will just get longer and longer and longer..." 😂

@JoSometimes, thank you! I found a lot of creative ways to do fireworks when I searched online. I might try a couple at another time. I also feel like I have a stamping plate with fireworks that I'd like to give a go.

Thank you @CattyT3! It's fun to try out different designs and nail art techniques. Some seem to come more easily to me than others, and it even depends on the hand - like with this one, using my dominant hand to draw the strokes turned out better than when I tried the same thing on my dominant hand. 🤣 You've posted some fabulous mani's and it'll be great to see what look you do next. 💅

The 4th was low key, quiet & fabulous! 👍🏼 This accent nail turned out pretty well; now as for the other hand .. 😬 it’s funny how nail art turns out so much better when I don’t overthink it. My other hand went through multiple attempts and they all ended up looking like a muddied graph for a presentation and not at all like a firework. 🤪
