Due to some technical glitches with the original Show Me Your Nails Thread, I am starting a new thread with @vegchililover78's blessing (She says "hello," by the way!).
Please share your nail looks, nail art and manicures!
...And don't forget to check out @Beadshopgirl's Nail Stamping Thread for stamping inspiration! ❤️

Besame is clearing out the Disney Villains collection...polishes that were originally $20-$30 are now six dollars 👀 aaaaaaaaand, use code WELCOME25 for another 25% off! I absolutely could not resist getting all three to compare to their old ones.
There's other fun and gorgeous stuff in the Villains collections too, so be sure to check it out (I came *this* close to ordering the Ursula compact, but goodness, it's still about $75 more than I should spend on makeup, ha!)
Reminder: check those cash back programs! Besame is 5% at Rakuten right now.
@RGbrown I also couldn't resist buying all 3 polishes. Absolutely don't need the Evil Queen and Ursula shades, and probably not the Maleficent shade either, but the discount was too tempting. Also picked up a couple of non-Disney blushes while I was at it, to make good use of the 25% off code.
Thank you for the Rakuten reminder @WinglessOne !! 😃
I absolutely do not need any of them either 😂 But a really good deal combined with curiosity about the formula on these got me. I came close to buying them in my "buy all the things" madness around BF or so; there was a 4th polish at the time, and I think at one point all 4 would have been around $40-50ish total...decent compared to retail, but shipping (and knowing I had already splurged way too much) tipped me over into "nah, I can live without these" territory. Heck, even just yesterday, these were $12 each last I checked...I guess they went down in price again around midnight eastern or so. So glad I looked again!
I talked myself out of a lipstick, so I feel pretty good about about keeping my order small. Also went to TJM today, found some PMG Bridgerton stuff, and talked myself out of two lippies there 😲 (I did pick up the blush palette though...I've drooled over it since it was released!)
@RGbrown @WinglessOne I didn’t need any of them either but I couldn’t resist and I got the three polishes and I am so excited! 😅 I think I am not going to regret. These are going to be my first polishes from this brand (well, my first experience with the brand whatsoever)
I hope I had a TJM close by...
Skittles: The Berries Edition
@itsfi Oh these are so fun. It’s funny about the matte I think it looks better with the shiny top coat! I’m not always a fan of matte but it’s fun.
Thank you @ather! The mattes here were nice but I’m almost always partial to a glossy finish. 😊
@itsfi I’m with you. A friend of mine kept saying how great of a job I do on my nails and she talked me into doing hers and she likes black matte and I did it but I didn’t like it. It wasn’t perfect. I find I can see more flaws in it. If it would have been glossy it would have been more pretty!!
@ather, I would totally want you to do my nails, too. 💅🏼 Glossy finish, maybe a matte here or there.
@itsfi I would totally do your nails. But I think you do a way better job than me!!!
@ather, you’re too kind but your nails look so professional! 💅🏼 I’m still trying to do your fab glazed donut nails. 😍 It takes me a good few tries to get anything worth showing, and even then, I think, I will put it up to show my efforts and use it (and all the feedback and suggestions) as a base for improving.
@itsfi I am sure you’re version of donut glazed nails looks beautiful!
@itsfi The Revlon and S&C look very different to me in your photos. The Revlon is much closer to purply plum. Both are lovely. The Night Owl shade is stunning!
Some brands' jellies are meant to dry matte. My 2 Loud Lacquer jellies are mattes. If it's sheer or semi-sheer and gives nails kind of a "squishy" look, it's a jelly. It can be matte, glossy, shimmery, or full of flakes/confetti/glitter. Freedom does look more opaque than I'd expect from a jelly, but so do a couple of my ILNP jellies (surprisingly). Anyway, I love all 5 of these shades together in one mani.
Ahh, interesting about some jellies meaning to dry down matte. Good to know; thank you @WinglessOne! NOL is really impressive. Every polish from the brand I try becomes a new favorite. lol. I was suprised by the Deborah Lippman Freedom as well, on many fronts. First, I found the shade at Marshall's for $4 or $5 and then that it's a jelly - I have to go back to see if she's done any other jelly polishes and if I have any more of them.
Ahhhhhhhhh, I love everything about this! Every single shade is berry perfection 😍😍😍 I feel weird saying my favorite may very well be a cream here, but I'm really liking the touch of purple in the Revlon 💜 (of course I love the sparkly shades too, that should go without saying, but I love the "swatch comparison" of the three creams, and can't help but look at them over and over lol)
Matte and jelly don't have to be mutually exclusive! Jelly refers to opacity (or lack thereof) whereas matte is the finish. I know I've got some neons that are both sheer and matte, and I feel like I've probably got at least a couple other jellies that also dry matte (or satiny/not very glossy).
Ohhh, I didn't know that being the distinction - jelly (opacity) and matte (finish). Thank you @RGbrown! Makes sense and now I'm going to be more mindful of the opacity and finish of my jelly polishes. Lol, I hear ya on the creme polishes being among the faves of this mani. That Revlon polish (thank you again for steering in the direction of Revlon) is beautiful. It's a frontrunnrer for a Valentine's mani. 😍
@itsfi - You can buy a matte top coat (a top coat that makes your polish look matte) if you like that type of finish.
@Titian06, thank you. I have a standalone matte top coat. I don't use it often, but should probably pull it out and drop it into a shp my stash bin at some point.
This is a great mani, @itsfi ! Analog Fog, even matte, is gorgeous followed by Mystery. Plums and purples and a tropical getaway...we should be good to go! 😄😘
